From the people I know in the Blues organization, the app you describe is the future. Show your smart phone and get in. I'm not a fan of this though as long as I can manage it for "free" by emailing pdf tickets or printing them I don't really care.

I know I personally will miss the physical ticket, printed on some cardstock wtih images of hockey past on them, as most teams usualyl have some really nice graphics on their season tickets.

But whats a guy to do, its the future. But it just something about holding that ticket that brings you back to watching games as a kid

I would agree whole heartedly with you except for the fact that the blues ruined the physical ticket aspect for me a number of years ago when they went to standard ticketmaster printing stock. The physical tickets are the same crap you get if you buy a ticket at the box office on the day of the game. No images, no cool design, no better cardstock, etc. Those tickets do nothing for me. The nostalgic ones like of years past, kid's art, current player photos, etc. would be of interest to us.

If you can still get the nice tickets, use them as a border for a mirror. imagine replacing the dwarfs with ticket stubs and it on a rectangular mirror. it's a good man cave style idea.

I have a tack board in my office that is covered with every hockey game I have ever gone to, Years of Flames tickets, Jets tickets, Oilers tickets...and a few odds and ends from Montreal and New York (most of them are against the Avs...need to still get down to Denver for one). World Junior and WHL games as well.

This year myself and a few buddies are looking at a Chicago, Nasvhille, St Louis trip in Feberuary to catch some games. Hopefully that can all line up.

I think the days of addign to that board is done now. Its a shame bc it was a cool reminder of some really good games being able to pick them out from the bunch.

Anyone watch the traverse city games? We are going to go next year but couldn't make it this year.

Stats lines of some of our prospects seem concerning....

Hakanpaa, Jani - No points, -5, only 3 shots and 2 pims.

Binnington, Jordan - 6.33 gaa and 81.9% save percentage in 2 games. Lundstrom had 10% higher save percentage and less than half his GAA in 2 games. Defensemen and opponent could impact this a lot but the stats lines definitely surprised me.

- stljam

I expected Lundstrom to pass Binnington this year. Not high on Binnington at all, and this tourney didn't help.

I have a feeling that we are going to have an Allen/Lundstrom duo in a couple of years.

Dumb this is that if I wanted I could show up to the games with just my license and the will call desk would print out each ticket for me.

Last year when I couldn't make a game, I just called the box office on gameday and asked that they print the ticket and leave it in will-call for a friend. Worked every time.

Can we please get Schwartz signed?

It's frustrating the hell outta me when I do my rounds, trolling the hockey websites and there is no new news on that front.

I know that we'll survive without him, but damn, we'll be that much better with!

At least he doesn't have Johansen's agent.

I'd say Schwartz will be signed within the next seven days.

I'm glad the MJ situation is overshadowing the Schwartz.

Had to post something to get involved with the enigma that is this 80+ comment blues blog.

Does everyone here read the articles or skim them and then get into the comments section? There are times when I get something out of the article, but I find that I miss the "insider" feel of Andy's articles. Yeah, it definitely makes him a homer, but I felt like I got a better sense as to what was going on with players and organizations...

From JR:

Armstrong: Schwartz is not here today, don't expect here tomorrow. #stlblues

Asked if he and Schwartz's agent, Wade Arnott, had any talks scheduled, Armstrong said no & that he's just "going with the flow." #stlblues

Strickland:

Armstrong on Jaden Schwartz. ..we obviously believe in the player but we also believe in the system #stlblues

Come on, this needs to get done.

BOOOOO!

I'm sick of this bullpoop. Don't put yourself in front of the team. Get a bridge deal done so that he can prove he's worth the big payday. He'll get paid big clams soon enough. Hell, put in a big bonus that would get to his number if they win Lord Stanley's bowl for (frank) sake. JUST GET IT DONE!

Ah, it's not so bad. In the late 90's RFA's were sitting all the time. The 2nd contract is by far the toughest to get done now days. Look at all the tense negotiations over the past half decade. Stamkos, Doughty, Subban...those contracts were tough and it looked like over payments for all at the time...now they look like bargains.

I hate to beat a dead horse but I get an email from the organization yesterday. Season ticket holder event Sept 19th, come pickup your packet, ticket card, watch practice, etc. Well I cant make it so I keep reading.

If you cant come well mail your stuff out on Sept 24th. Great. Except we have home preseason games on the 25th and 27th. So good chance you get to manually print tickets out for those. What happens if parking passes are included in your package, just cross your fingers hope it comes in time.

Who the F thought this whole offseason ticket stuff out? I know they brought in some new guy to help run the front office and ticketing stuff and cleaned out a chunk of the tenured sales guys but this has been a joke. [/img]

They first sent out this email over a week ago, and then again yesterday as a reminder.

I believe that they are saying that you will get the package by the 24th. So if you can't go, hopefully you will have it in time.

Also to note, the game on the 27th is in Kansas City. Not a home game. I have a brother there, so I am driving out and going. Should be fun. (for a preseason game)

Yeah would be fun, Sprint Center prob a good venue for hockey. Sucks KC is no where near close to a hockey town. Few rinks no real emphasis of the sport at the HS level. Def a College basketball / football town (and I guess Royals for this year at least).

I'm likely to be in the minority here but I am completely fine with JS missing some time. If nothing else, it will give longer looks to Lindstrom, Jaskin, Rattie, Mueller, etc. No JS pre-season injury risk, shows other players they won't be forced into a bad contract, etc.

We have a pretty good sense what Schwartz brings and as long as he brings it by early 2015, I'm not sure I care all that much plus it gives us cap relief, lol. JS contract will be pro-rated for time missed.

Note that last sentence carefully. It would be hilarious if holding out a month only got him 100k more in stated contract annual compensation. Too bad you lost more than that by not working for a month, lol. it's all part of the chicken game of course.
