Cool, what does it do?

You smear it on your wrist and it looks and smells just like real dirt.

Well we discussed that on the other thread where I shared my thoughts on why that was done. But we can continue that discussion here if you'd like.
- MJL

Why? Because they were blindly hoping that he'd round back into form even though there was no evidence of that happening any time soon?

Yes, they wanted Downie to play through it, and hopefully improve. It didn't work. But as we discussed on the other thread, that's why I believe they did it. Right or wrong.

I don't think they were blindly doing anything. But it is pretty obvious that they were indeed hoping he could play himself back in to form and it didn't work. They probably stuck with him too long. Frankly I don't see the argument here.

So, even though it clearly wasn't working (him improving and playing/meshing well), they continued to throw him out there. Which is something a coach cannot do.

Edit: Not bashing you, just seeing if you'd agree that it was a bad move (at the time, not in hindsight) to act of the definition of insanity.

To me, they were blindly hoping. He gave no sign of improving at all...if anything, he was actually getting worse game by game, yet the continued to throw him out there, fooling themselves that he'd magically turn back into the player who played well for 11-12 games, as opposed to the player who was abysmal for every other game.

So this whole argument, which we were all hoping was dead yesterday, was brought up again because we cant agree on the word "blindly"?

LACK OF FOOT SPEED AND LACK OF FORECHECKING. But point well taken, I'm a fan of giving him a chance on the roster for the first 15 games for evaluation. ALSO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR EDIRT MEANS!?!

It was more directed at others.

I think it had to do with the team believing they probably had no better option. Except maybe Akeson, and he, FINALLY, was brought in for the playoffs.

Personally, I also believe they stuck with Downie way too long.

So, the list of words whose meanings we cannot agree on now include; completely, literally, AND blindly.

We litrilly cannot completely agree on how to define "blindly" unless we blindly try to give it a complete, litril definition.

I was just hoping that they'd sit him for a few games and give a guy like Holmstrom a shot, to be honest.

what if we settled for papier-mache and chickenwire, instead of wood? is that acceptable?

There's actually a Led Zep test press on eBay. I think it was just a single, though.

There is also a mint condition Minor Threat one up for $6K. But I'm a bit confused, as there were apparently 100 tests made up. When I put out a record, I only ordered 6, and I know that even 20 is a high number.

Sir, you don't simply substitute other materials when it comes to the building of larger-than-life badgers. Wood is the ONLY acceptable material.

Well it didn't work out, so I think the results of that move are obvious.
