I love tailgating and all that, but train drinking is one of my favorite things to do. It may be odd, but I have a great time. Every time. - Dedshark
Whatever works. I like my tailgating. I'm going to miss it |

When they do rebuild the Coliseum for less seating, they may host the home games which draw the smaller crowds i.e. Western Canadian teams but a crowd of ten thousand in the facility may sound awesome in tv.
This is the age of the virtual arena so hopefully Brooklyn fames will look great on NBC games.
Other good news is team attracted new owners and a value over half a billion for the franchise.
Just think of thousands of Ranger fans who trek in from the Island and New Jersey to MSG.

It's downright foolish and comical to complain about the move to Bklyn. This organization Needed to move. Major sports franchises don't thrive in the suburbs. Mass transit and corporate sponsorship are as vital to a franchises success as fan support and cable deals are. Nassau has no mass transit. Corporate sponsorship is minimal at best. Fans weren't filling the place. Like Dan said, it's time to evolve.
This franchise will be so much healthier as a result of this move. Yes, for many the commute will be longer. But any rational fan would agree that they'd rather travel to Bklyn to see the isles than to Kansas City, Quebec or Seattle. |

Instead of tailgating drink on the train . It won't be that bad
One question about the scoreboard why can't it be moved to the center for hockey games |

you say nobody will care about an obstructed view seat
except for the people sitting in them. - yellowdog
The real issue is the people who buy an obstructed view seat and then b*tch that they can't see part of the ice. It may be time to also purchase an English dictionary with the word "obstructed" and its definition written on one of the pages. |

Thats the general consensus thou. If Brooklyn had an arena that was built to house an NHL team.. you would get no complaints from me, but its not.. There have been SO many plans over the years as to a new home for this team, from the Lighthouse, the idea of Pilgrem State, the IceRink / Baseball field Mets/Islanders plans, the Brooklyns layout is the worst of it all.
I am not saying the team in Brooklyn sucks, the team ANYWHERE on Long Island is fine, its friggin awesome.. the arena in Brooklyn is less then perfect, less then ideal, but its better then them not being on the Island. Ill take what we can get.

I'm going to guess that if this team becomes a perennial contender, and a box office success, adjustments will be made to the facility to make it more accommodating. |

I'm going to also guess that this would likely be the first adjustment...it seems like something that has probably already occurred elsewhere, maybe in a slightly different scenario, and probably already has a solution which would just need to be implemented. |

They especially don't thrive in this suburb, which hasn't given a rat's a$$ about its professional sports franchise in any way other than how it could best use it as a political football. You really can't get any more pathetic than Hempstead and Nassau County....it just doesn't seem possible. |

I agree. They come back in a couple of years to play in the new Refurbished Coli until the changes are done |

I agree with you 1000%... Dan was a Whalers fan... and now an Isles fan... losing your team must suck... Just because of relocation. Isles' Brooklyn move is easy!!!! I would be an Isles fan wherever they went. Image the only places to watch an NHL game in the Tri-state was MSG or Newark...
