I agree with this match up. Primarily because it gives Josefson a fair shot at showing what he has. I don't think he'll ever put up a huge point total, but I think he's really good defensively and a helluva lot better than Gionta. I don't know why they refuse to use him. I think it'd be interesting if he was put on the 3rd line with Ryder and Clowe; maybe that's where he'd find his groove, or at least get some confidence?

We need to sign Ryan Carter... I like the lines, hope Brunner and Clowe keep healthy... Devils had a hell of a team last year, wish they would abolish shootouts... Maybe we could just have a bench-clearing brawl to decide a tie? Would make more sense than just keeping a tie during the regular season, get a silly point for making it to OT... Oh boy, Mr Bettman, thank you so graciously! I'm glad people are talking too. A bit more fun than talking to a wall, depending on who's talking and what wall you're talking to, granted! I liked Henrique as a LW, I think Brunner and Ryder will prove their worth, at least as utility players if nothing else... Go, Devils!

The middle six on my line combos are iffy, but so is everything at this point in August. Damn this month.

I think we all have that as the one definitive line. The other 3 will depend on whether they put both Elias and Henrique at C, which I believe they will do given the lack of quality at that position.

Having Ruutu or Clowe on that 2nd line with Elias and Havlat actually does makes sense in that those 2 (Patty & Marty) will need some kind of physical presence to be out there with them.

Even if we don't trade Brunner or Ryder, they hopefully will both be giving a little more than last season being on the last year of their contracts
