Michael Leighton, eh? Didn't even know he still played hockey.
Let's hope he never gets his second chance to wear the Indianhead. - prd797
Leighton will be depth in Rockford. Given the depth the Hawks have in the minors, I'd rather have him recalled in an emergency then Darling, Simpson or Carruth. |

Will the Hogs carry 3 goalies? I would think Carruth will be ECHL bound? |

I hope Kane chuckles every time he walks by Leighton at training camp |

They'll carry 2. I would bet Carruth is a lock to go to Indy. One of Darling or Simpson will go to Indy, with the other staying in Rockford. |

He might be looking at some KHL teams - he said from what he heard, he likes the lifestyle in those small Russian towns, especially in winter.
It's good to be the free agent. - StLBravesFan
I'd be even more leery at the planes these teams are still using...despite the KHL commish claiming otherwise. Just another accident waiting to happen sadly.

Sorry, but I don't believe any of this, and all Bowman said was that as a matter of policy he never speaks about trade rumours, neither confirming nor denying, to take that as a denial is only reading into it what you want to see - mcmasterkev
Don't expect you to.
I will say this.....I heard the same exact details from at least 6 guys on this thread who I have NEVER met before in person.
again....like Sharp the hockey player. That's all I'll say and I find it VERY convenient that his teammates aren't including him in ANYTHING on social media....ALS bucket challenges.
Where there is smoke, there is fire....tick tock on Sharp. |

Yes, I think so.
He is a good precision passer, and the system needs as many tread the needle fast guys coming out.
If you truly get market or above value, it is a no-brainer that the subtraction comes from a demotion of Versteeg and dumping Rozsival.
I'm just saying...in all the years here when posters traded everybody from Kane to Hammer, I always thought those type moves were never going to get done UNLESS we got a true addition.
I just don't think they are dumb in terms of sending pros packing or breaking up things unless it was a essential subtraction.
If no one is offering nice returns on anybody on the roster they just are doing any of these "big" moves...they will find a way to eat contract before they will launch good pieces for items of value that don't help right now.
...and I think what is "out there" right now is little use to the club. That teams that were trading solid roster parts showed their wares off prior to the draft. There is no "big regulat pro" that the Hawsk are getting teased with whose contract is a value and whose play adds a dimension they are looking to gain from.
Pure fantasy! Everyone in the front offices are on vacation! - wiz1901
I understand....but again.....they have to deal somebody. If they deal Rozsival, that would be a major miracle. I'm just looking at the reality of who they will have to trade to get under the cap.
Everyone says Rozsival or Versteeg. Who is buying on those 2? Anyone? Doubtful.
I just feel Oduya and sharp give this a team better chance to win then Leddy. Which should be the goal no matter in the short term.
I just hope bowman trades whoever, quickly, so we can all move on. This is like debating the greatness of Kevin hayes all over again.

yeah, no issues with this....and a little push on Raanta in training camp. Hawks are VERY weak in goal in the organization.

Lou Gehrigs disease....no need to raise awareness if you call it what everyone has been calling it since Lou Gehrig died from it.
