Uuummm people in Toronto hate those two idiots. - Yeti1181
Damian Cox is day and night better then Simmons. SS is the douche of douches. Guy lo es making things up or finding out info and passing it on like he is the lord of the insiders. |

That's his realistic ceiling if he reaches full potential, likely he develops into a lesser offensive player than a 20-20 guy but that's just my opinion. - Nucker101

I know this is the elephant in the room (no hate mail or I will cry like a schoolgirl) but how about honourable/dishonourable shout out to Barry Pederson. I mean, you have to feel for the guy, as it wasn't his fault the Canucks didn't do their due-dilligence. He was still a pretty decent player (and actually had two and a half excellent seasons after the trade, putting up some great numbers - his career totals were almost a point a game territory*), but unfortunately his career/name will always be linked to one of the worst trades in sports
*which even surprised me
Edit: my bad, I note that Carol mentioned him at the end of her blog |

I see Gaunce as a Brandon sutter type player.
For a 2nd straight yr I'm thrilled with the canucks draft and I've been a canucks fan for close to 25 yrs and have only been thrilled with 3 draft.
Just wish we would have got MDC

Can we lump Pang in there also or does he get his own category? |

He's just a moron. He doesn't make crap up like Simmons. Cox is a less knowledgeable Pierre McGuire |

Both are horrible. When I joined twitter way back I decided to see if they were really the d-bag's that they were made out to be and just reading one article or tweet from them was enough for me. I agree that Simmons is worse, he's just brutal. He basically has the same knowledge that a casual fan of all 4 major sports does, knows the star players and limited with anything else, especially regarding outside of Toronto.
The NHL has the worst quality of reporters/writers compared to the other 3 sports IMO. There's literally only a handful that know what they're talking about league-wide. |

I wanted Ehlers, but can live with Virtanen, he was my 2nd choice after Ehlers anyway. Happy with McCann and Tryamkin. Hopefully Demko is a future starter, would have been ecstatic if Barbeshev was still there and picked up by the Benning. Only other wish is that Vey was cheaper, would have loved to grab McKeown with that late 2nd from the Garrison deal. |

Yeah, NBA is probably the close to the NHL in terms of lack of quality writers/reporters. MLB and NFL have tons of quality reporters/writers though so the idiots are only there for the laughs and to stir poop up, but no one really values what they say. |

The McCann pick is an absolute steal. There was plenty of discussion on here in may that if we got the 10th pick should we pick him. 10 was a bit of a reach (I had him 12) but a steal at 24. Virtanen was the best player left at 6. I think we picked the right guy given how it played out. Just wish we would have moved up. IMO by far the 2 best forwards went 4 and 5. |

Yeah, I brought his name up in case the the team got hot and finished with the 10th/11th and Ehlers/Virtanen/Nylander were all gone. |

Good read from a guy who exclusively covers/follows OHL prospects. I was reading his stuff leading up to the draft, always good to get insight from someone who focuses on specific region only without and bias.

I agree with him, give Horvat another year in the OHL to improve offensively. This guy loves Cassels. |

Sam Gagner will score 70 points. I'm convinced this Ian, or at least his cousin or something. |
