I don't think we appreciated at the time just how good those Jays teams were. - Aetherial
always forget Olerud.. was flirting with .400 that one season for a bit
one of my fav memories was the 92 alcs.. we were traveling then in the US.. I was begging my mother to stop and get a motel so I could watch the game...the Alomar tying HR off Ekersley... then the win
omg just give me that feeling one more time |

There was a guy on the local Canadian wrestling circuit (I don't know if he ever made it to the big leagues) called Sadistic Steve Strong.
This was in the early days of "alternative vitamin supplements" for professional wrestlers, and let's just say I've never seen any wrestler take as many alternative vitamin supplements as Sadistic Steve Strong. The guy was a circus freak of muscle. |

I heard a discussion recently where people were saying that the Alomar hit off of Eckersley was bigger for the organization than the Carter home run.
Up until that point, they were this great team that could not quite get over the hump. I think that hit changed the team.
I also think that ridiculous 15-14 (or whatever it was) playoff game against the Phillies was a big moment. |

it def sticks out to me as one of the best moments..a lot of the other stuff has kinda blurred together..but that and of course the Carter HR havent faded
Like I remember Ed Sprague coming off the bench I think to hit a clutch HR..but dont remember what series or game.
Cant believe I havent mentioned Kelly Gruber yet.. he was my first Fav Jay actually |

I might have believed it if the Stamkos font wasn't smaller than the others.
Clearly this identifies the chart as a fake, and not actually a mapping of future NHL player movments as you have indicated.
Nice try Wedgie. |

One of the biggest d-bags to ever wear a Jays uniform.
But hey, he won a Superstars competition. |

Maybe more important for organization but as for a specific moment -- "touch em all, Joe". |

Not trying to pile on my Montreal friends here, but at this point, I don't see much upside in PK accepting a long-term deal here.
The history of arbitration in the NHL is the players win. Like, complete and utter defeat of management kinda win.
Take the one-year deal, and then start negotiating a long-termer - think about how much more bargaining power he would have. - Atomic Wedgie
Meh. Like Eklund pointed out they could still agree on terms before the ruling....
But this is as bad as it looks. |
