was having lunch with a colleague yesterday and we ordered sandwiches. he was asked if he wanted chips or a pickle on the side. he said pickle. so the woman behind the counter takes half a pickle.... and then cuts it in half. so he got a quarter of a pickle. what the (frank) is that about? really? half a pickle is just too much?

A couple of months ago my gf was in a restaurant and she asked an extra pickle in her burger. They charged her 2.50$ for a (frank)ing pickle.

Guess it's now a luxury ingredient, just like safran, caviar or truffles.
