True. But they do have other guys having big seasons insofar as power goes, and they really needed a frontline starter. - hscesq
Yes but he is the only one with potential. The others are journeyman having career years. |

I believe Cespedes will punish this wall over the next several years. The wall with thus be in pain.
I'll try and dummy it up in the future. |

You pretty much answered you own question...
Cap is USD and the overall revenue of the league is USD. So players negotiate their contract based on USD.
The only ones who really care about the CAD are the Canadian team owners as they must pay their players higher. My guess is the GM's don't even bother to look at the conversion rate especially on cap ceiling teams. Maybe Winnipeg is different though. They struggle financially. - l3ig_l2ecl
yes but if you're Carey Price, you buy your house in CAD. you buy your groceries in CAD. you pay your gas in CAD. you have a local bank account with CAD in it. and since the team takes in most of its revenue in CAD, then the team would need to convert money into USD and the player would need to convert back into CAD (at least a portion). converting money isn't free. that's why i was wondering. |

Oooh, no. Imma disagree with that broad a statement. True that they may not all replicate their years, but they are not all journeymen. |
