The team is more important than 1 player. If so get rid of him. - AGalchenyuk27
It's a gamble if you get rid of him...not sure if you get enough in return. But in that case they wouldn't have a choice. |

OK, but 9 million is paying him like the clear cut #1. |

Won't that make him the highest paid defencemen in the NHL? |

Patrick Kane is getting paid way more than Sydney crosby next year. It's all about timing with these contracts. |

You are looking at the cap hit, not their salaries.. |

Or maybe Crosby took less than he could have......
Also, a case can be made that Kane and Toews have accomplished more than Sid and Geno. |

Anybody caring about their actual salary is missing the point. Cap hit is where it's at... |

Well that's the only way to see what their true salaries are over the course of the deal. |

This is a reach. Crosby got max dollars then as he would now which only goes to show the point that Subban's deal will be close to 9 if not over. Everyone will female dog about it (Just like Carey's) and then everyone else will catch up and we'll all be happy about that deal down the road. You don't get rid of players like Price and Subban over 1 or 2M. |
