If you add his bridge contract to his current deal, you get a 7,7 cap hit for a total of 10 years.
Not bad at all. - Pecafan Fan
you can't really average out the cap hits over 2 contracts really... more the salary. but even so, $9 million, as much as it hurts right now, will balance out. |

I believe the cap in 15-16 will hit 74
And then slightly climb over the next few years to settle in at 80 |

Now if we can move 1 of budaj or moen or even both - will put us with a great cushion for the deadline - MTL1
you have to replace Budaj on the roster though don't forget.
Moen can be sent to the minors if need be. but either way, Bergevin has some wiggle room in case he needs to do something in-season, which he likely will. |

You're right
After 3 more years of his presumed improved play he will become a ufa
Does he get to become a ufa or does he sign a year previous to becoming a ufa?
I think he tests the market |

I love TSN and CTV'S coverage
During the negociations :
WAAAAH PK DESERVES BETTER, WHAT A AWFUL ORGANIZATION
*PK photos in action or in a suit*
After the signing
OH UMM YEAH, HE SIGNED A HUGE CONTRACT
*PK flamboyant celebration photos so you can all go back to hate him* - Not_Yan
also loved the interpretation and assumptions
"PK just left the arbitrator's office...he doesn't look very happy"
Of course, nothing to do with the fact that he's spending a beautiful summer day in an office with a bunch of lawyers (no offence Howard). |

Chances are good he is in line for a 9 or 10+ m contract from the isle after 4 years
They will have moved into their new building for the 15-16 season
They will need to keep their marquee player to fill the seats there |

And they'll need a new owner and GM to give back some credibility to their franchise. |
