If there was one here who wasn't panicking, it's me.

They were all right. All of them were right. The whole arbitration process ruined any chance whatsoever of PK signing in Montreal long term.

There's a reason why they try go get a deal before that point.

This looks very bad for Subban long term in Montreal.

ah. so it's unlikely that a deal would be reached before the announcement.

I would say 0%. Very disappointing.

The only way any of this is remotely acceptable, is if it somehow results in us getting McDavid.

MB's stock is either going to hit an all-time high in my books, or we're in for a bit of a market crash.

We shall wait and see.

All signs point to market crash.

It's not a question of supporting one side or the other. PK can do whatever he wants. The best for him is to sign 5 years IMO.
- fidopro

Good thing you're not his agent. Would have cost him $27 Million.

Takes two to tango. I think PK deserves a big pay raise, I want him to stay. But anything north of 8.5M per for 8 years is crazy. If he wants 9 or 9.5, beubye.

2years, 7.25per.

If he doesn't want to sign long term, hold on to him for 1.

If his value goes up, trade him next summer before the draft, if it goes down, he's (frank)ed himself.

MB is in the drivers seat on this one.

Not to worry.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Lots of racetrack still to be run with Subban and MTL but it's far from an ideal situation.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: The longer Subban goes without a new long-term contract in MTL, logic suggests the odds increase of him going to UFA or being traded.

You have to draw the line somewhere. Why not 9.5? Then why not 10?
Letang just signed for 7.25M. He won a cup. Is PK worth that much more than Letang, and remember he has 2 years as RFA, so around 7M per.

7,7,9,9,9,9,9,9 = 68 for 8 years, 8.5M per.
That's my final offer. Sorry
.

Almost.
