Almost nothing good came out of the 90s, me included. - EssuieToutJeune
Well, there's Notorious BIG and Tupac albums - not sure if it counts if they are dead now
also the 90's gave us some of the best hip-hop/rap album of all time including Illmatic, 36 chambers, THe Chronic, Doggystyle and the list goes on |

Just saw Subban talk to the media. He looks rattled and I believe that once he is a UFA he's out of Montreal. |

So what do my fellow Hab fans think about essentially losing Subban? This is beyond comical from the Habs organization not to have signed him long term. If this kid walks and we lose our biggest star since Roy was in town this organization is a shadow of its former self. Embarassing... |

I think it's fair to assume everyone feels pretty poop about the whole thing.
I get tired of this air of contempt from Habs management, like everything is beneath them because they're "THE" Montreal Canadiens, like an elderly person who thinks their generation is superior to the current one. It seems to be infectious once anyone is in the drivers seat for the team. The Habs have a great history, but that history is the city and the fans, they've grown along with the game, and they love Subban. I don't see how they can hardline this, it's just not in the cards. Let it go and evolve, otherwise the history of greatness this team has will be the only greatness it has. |

We have no idea what Meehan was asking for, I could live with 8-9 but if PK is asking for Toews money what do you do?
PK's camp wants 8.5 for an RFA year so what is a UFA year worth?
Should PK be the highest paid player in the NHL? |

I highly doubt he'd hold out for a cap hit over 8-9.
And even on the off chance that he was, are the Habs better with Subban on the books for 9+, or without him on the team?
Overpay him, it's far better than losing him. |

I think it comes down to whether or not PK wants to be a part of this organization. Everything we've seen so far indicates that he doesn't. Does anyone really think that PK hasn't been offered a long term deal for massive money? How stupid do we think MB is? |

He was stupid when he hardball'd the minimalist bridge contract, there's no reason to assume he's being smart about it now. |
