If it goes to the arbitrator ruling. The only way I see PK signing long term in Montreal, is if he gets offer sheeted next year, and the Habs match.

I think that's exactly what will happen. If I'm the GM of another and I see this circus, there is no way I'm not lining to screw over Bergevin next season or get Subban on my team. It's a win-win.

So what do you think PK's contract would have looked like if this was post CBA, but with the current cap hit?

I say something like the below

7,9,11, 13, 13, 13, 10, 8, 6, 4, 4, 4, 1, 1, 1

There's no situation where losing PK turns out well for Montreal.

Hell just having this arbitration is a disaster. Now we've got a full 365 days of media coverage and speculation on whats going to happen to him
