If it goes to the arbitrator ruling. The only way I see PK signing long term in Montreal, is if he gets offer sheeted next year, and the Habs match. - ehabs9
If PK thinks he's worth as much as Toews and Kane, are we really gonna blame MB for not signing him? |

My bad. It's just that a lot of people don't understand the arbitration process. And I mean a lot... - fidopro
I pretty sure a lot of people on here don't understand hockey. |

Yes. I'm missing the point though. If the Habs had won the Cup the past 2 years they wouldn't have taken PK to arb now? - 1979AD
I can't say whether they would have or not. What I am saying about the Hawks players, is that they've been key contributors in two Stanley Cup runs that led to Cup wins, and that has to count for something in negotiations. PK doesn't have that on his resume, is all I'm saying. |

Everyone from Kingston to Windsor would be able to spot the raging boner on that guy if Subban ever became a Leaf. |

Maybe I'm wrong, but name one comparable situation that's ended in a long-term deal with the team in question. |

Toews AND Kane would be a stretch. Is his value roughly equal to one of them on the open market? I think there's strong evidence to suggest he would be given he hasn't yet entered his prime and the team could lock him up until he was exiting his prime. |

Yes.
The bottom line is you sign him. Who gives a poop if it's for $8M, or $10M? Pay your superstar. Make room under the cap afterwards. |
