And they have been so good over the last 8 years.

LikeI said, maybe he can coach. BUT, I just think people are impressed because he is a "big name" in the hockey world more so than he is actually a good hockey coach.

I still think its better than digging into the nostalgic former Sabres hockey bag for a coach.

I'd re-hire Teppo as the other asst coach, or Boughner.

Tank the season! Don't hire any good coaches yet. Reinhart is not a sure thing hall of fame game breaker so tank one more season.

Why don't y'all that are bashing Nolan for this hire and or running rampant with assumptions as usual because you have an agenda with Nolan give it a rest?
Why not wait to nail the man to the cross till at least Easter when things become a lot more clear?
Ugh. That's why I rarely post here anymore.
Same posters too.

Because he's bad news. Not the guy to lead to where we want to go, just a bridge. [/img]

No matter who we hire we will still be a bad team. We just don't got the guys to get it done.

That's your opinion.
I don't care who you may know or think you know.
Funny that where ever he goes, he wins!
I know "people" too, I just don't boast about it here.
I'll call him a spade when he deserves to be called spade.
Not until!

Think I know? Come on, man.

Everywhere he goes, he wins?

He has won 164 of the 389 career NHL games he's coached, or 42.1% That's not good.

I know its way in the past... But why does nobody bring up the bad blood between Nolan and Hasek? Was some pretty ugly stuff from what I've heard /read

I love today's hire.

The guy has won multiple cups, both as a player and a coach. You can't replace that type of knowledge and experience.

The young guys are going to be sponges around a guy like that.

Good job, Teddy!

How is he bad news? 7 cup winners as a player and success as an assistant in Colorado and Pitt? He might be a bridge but with his experience both as a captain for cup wining teams and coach I think he knows plenty about leading.

I have always respected everything you said . I am sorry at this point . I have to wonder . What is your agenda ? Is it just that you view Nolan as a loser? Does someone you know or you have a personal issues with him ? This attacking of Nolan is just getting ugly .

I know he is not the final answer to bringing a cup here , but his role in the rebuild makes sense to me at this time.
