I'm not entirely sure how it works in the NHL, but I know that ticket sales for each game are split between the home and visiting teams in the NFL. I can't remember if it's 50/50 or if it leans toward the home team, but I don't think it works that way in the NHL at all.

Now im not a business man by any means and i sort of get revenue sharing to help out the smaller teams but this one doesnt make too much sense to me. First of all probably 95 percent of the fans are going to be the home teams and Second of all, all teams have 8 regular season home games a year, why not just keep the ticket sales that your team sold in those eight games. Seems the most logical to me but revenue sharing must be done i guess

I still say that's more because they've generally had a less than mediocre product shoved down their throat. Have teams like New England, Green Bay, New Orleans, San Francisco or Seattle play one game a year there, and you see a different story.

Because when it comes to sports not named hockey in Canada, everyone's a band wagoner.

Winning breeds just about all sports traditions though. Even the biggest money making teams in sports aren't where they are if they didn't win at some point. People get attached to "their" teams when "their" teams win championships.

I think in Toronto though, everyone is so committed to the Leafs and their losing ways, that if people spend on ounce of effort or emotion on another team, they better be hot at that moment.

I filled out the form, twice in the early 90's

both times they were out of stock (20 minutes later)

I am shocked they were viable as long as they were

There are many reasons we may not let you into Canada, such as:

you are a security risk,
you have committed human or international rights violations,
you have been convicted of a crime, or you have committed an act outside Canada that would be a crime,
you have ties to organized crime, a lot of NFL players would have problems

if the worst case happens

would bills fans rather the bills move to TO (close enough to see a few games) or LA (far enough to forget and move on)

The thing is, though, that the Bills were never "Toronto's" team. Toronto has a plethora of NFL fans. I believe that Bell (CTV and TSN) pays more for the rights to broadcast NFL games than it does for the CFL (TSN). The issue becomes the fact that Toronto fans like a number of NFL teams, and it's not only the Bills. If an NFL team moved to Toronto, and it would be one that they could call their own, you'd see something completely different.

oh okay! that must be why im so ignorant on the subject of the "need" for a new bills stadium. Is it because we need more box seating to properly revenue share?

There are NHL players that could fall into some of those categories as well. The percentages are probably a lot lower, but they manage to make it work.
