Agreed. He IMO might not get us a 1st rounder back, however I would love to snag a good prospect for him if he turns out a good year
- sbroads24

If he starts out on fire. it wouldn't surprise me to see him moved to get max value for him. A 1st isn't out of the question as teams will be more than willing to move 2016 1sts over 2015 1sts.

It won't hurt that it doesn't take a whole lot to be profitable in the NFL either. I don't think it takes much more revenue beyond the TV contract before the team makes money.

The tv deal pays for the players salaries generally.

Everything else is profit for the owners.

I think I remember reading something that said that the TV contract pretty much covers the team's payroll for the year. So ticket sales and all that are all profit once you cut out the rest of the operating expenses.

Does the league want to be in Canada? Yes.

Is it a viable option right now? Nope. They hate the sport.

Pegula has an infinite amount of money. All he has to do is keep selling of his land. It's why he's not worried about making money. He has a printing press all set up and ready to go at his command.

I really don't think the other groups have a chance.

I disagree, I don't think the NFL wants to be in Canada. I don't think they view Canada as the "international presence" they envision. Besides all the other hurdles we mentioned, the Canadian govt' is quite defensive of their culture and will put up their own fight against it. And no Canadians don't hate football. Sure its not hockey but its quite big up there.

Which is why the NFL won't likely land in Canada. They won't let a franchise take home huge profits off a tv contract they draw no viewers to.

When it comes down to it.

BonJovi is a group of people going in to buy it.

Pegula isn't a group of people.

Sickening, isn't it? A salary cap that is covered before a single ticket is counted as revenue...

From what I know, the rest of the NFL prefers single owners. So my guess would be that Pegula has the edge over the Toronto group because of that one factor alone.

You know that whoever gets picked by the trust isn't just the highest bidder, but the option that pushes everything through the NFL voting as quickly as possible. Pegula fits when you look at it that way.

I'm not entirely sure how it works in the NHL, but I know that ticket sales for each game are split between the home and visiting teams in the NFL. I can't remember if it's 50/50 or if it leans toward the home team, but I don't think it works that way in the NHL at all.

Wow, so that's even more revenue sharing that the big boys would be pissing and moaning about. Never heard that one before

"Man, f--- Bon Jovi!” Reed said. "You might as well just take this city, throw it in the river, and let it go down Niagara Falls." Starting to get a little worried when a guy like reed makes emotional comments like this...

NASCAR started doing that to me. I lost most interest after Earnhardt died, but then often found myself falling asleep as it was on. Including AT some races in Darlington.

Drew Stafford.

He has played in

513 of a possible 581 games or 88.3%

He avgerages

72.41 gp per year giving him 19.2 goals 22.9 assists for 42.1 points per year.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is the 20-25 on both this season.

second line talent on a contender

I see better effort from 4th liners though

I still say that's more because they've generally had a less than mediocre product shoved down their throat. Have teams like New England, Green Bay, New Orleans, San Francisco or Seattle play one game a year there, and you see a different story.

That was unfair though. The Bills are as bad as any team football has ever seen the last 15 years, and they asked the people of Toronto to profess their love for the Bills at a very high price, in an awful stadium with no tailgating.

Imagine if the Blue Jays played a series of games here at a very high price vs. Buffalo getting its own MLB baseball team.
