Well thank you . I just think folks deserve a shot before we condemn them to failure . When Ted shows he should not be here . That is when he should be fired . He has not done that yet. And he has had a part in starting to turn things around . Maybe not in the win dept. yet , but the culture.

I cannot in good conscience write what I heard about Nolan and the boys in his first stay but it came from a close relative of Muckler's. It kind of soured my impression of Nolan and didn't surprise me as to why he had a tough time getting jobs in the NHL.

I had 50 people debating me. I was just answering the questions one by one. I give all their due.

No problem . I just don't want to rush to judgement on anyone right now . The current sample size is too small . Who is too say Ted has not changed since he was here last time . Tim has done nothing to make me doubt his methods yet either

The details given were too precise. Also, you aren't going to get negative info about someone from someones loyal friend.

16 -17 years is a long time ago . Who says he has not changed in that time . I know I have changed . Have you changed ? Word was also that Muckler black balled him with the old boys network . All the guy has ever done is win . No matter where he was.

Can I get this any clearer. I like Tim Murray a lot, I am limp towards Reinhart and I hope I'm wrong but I don't think it's Murray's fault but the strenghth of this draft or lack thereof. I have said all along Reinhart was probably going to be a non exciting #2 center who gets about 60 pts a year. For a year of tanking I was hoping for more but I think it was the draft year more than anything else. I still would have preferred Bennett and we'll see how that plays out. Just after the prospect camp and Reinhart's luster is dulling for some.

Eh, there are "things" to like about them. The Slug jersey was actually aesthetically a great looking jersey minus the logo on it. The new third is a cool jersey just not as a Sabres jersey. It isn't necessary.

I may or may not have a Girgensons third jersey.

It's not just what reportedly happened 17 years ago, or the assistants running the practices 17 years ago it's how he thought he was too good to coach in anywhere but the NHL after he won the Jack Adam's Award, how he is not known for strategy, how he is a motivational coach. How he might not be a great coach to develop all the young talent this oranization has. Overall, I don't detest Nolan as coach but I think there's better out there but the Pegula's went for the guy the majority of fans would like. Fine.

Why would he not think he's too good for anything but the NHL....after winning an coaching award in the NHL?

He also took a pretty talentless Islander team to the playoffs. After he left they nose dived to John Tavares.

All I know from what ive seen and what he did in the past is get a team to play as a team. Isn't that what a coach is sposed to do ? Let the Assistants run the D and O (when we get them) . Our last coach had problems doing that.

He had the word's greatest goaltender winning his team 2-1 games and if you can't get a job where you want sometimes you have to swallow your pride, and accept a lesser one.

Again long time ago . I was just reading today about Torterella letting his assistants run all his practices . ( I know - bad example ) I hate to say it lots of head coaches are more administrators in professional sports and the assistants do the heavy lifting . And that is just not in hockey. ( Football I know for sure ) Again I think Ted is a place holder till this team is ready to go to the next level . But maybe he will surprise us ! . Terry will give him a nice Golden Parachute if they part ways. Like he did with Patty.

Who was better out there when they finally made the move to get rid of Ron Rolston ?

I bet he is a placeholder and he will get a golden horseshoe. Many head coaches are admins, but they know the game so in case they need to they can change the system/s, they can change or set game plans. They can lead their assists and not the other way around. Who knows maybe Nolan knows the game inside and out and just leads from behind like Nelson Mandela said to do.

Well first thing you learn in management courses on your way to a business degree in University is . The role of a good manager is to surround yourself with the right people and work yourself out of a job . Because you are not needed . Maybe Ted believes in that philosophy.

Ted is here for now I really do not understand why people are getting so worked up over it . If we want to tank for McEichel . Maybe then having him as coach is the right move?

Chris Campoli and Marc Andre Bergeron were rocks on that blue line.

That's a bottom feeder that Nolan got to the playoffs

We all need to have a few cocktails and let things work out ! No sense getting upset about something we have no control over . I am pretty sure Ted Is not reading these forums and rushing to hire assistants because of comments in here.
