Well, Winnik put up 30 points last year... I don't think any of our bottom-6ers did that last year... so I don't see him going down... Santorelli and Booth were signed as a pair, IMO... so I doubt either gets sent down... Komarov is obviously staying...

Maybe Kontiola, though I don't think he bought himself out without some assurances, aside from the one-way contract.

Booth-Holland-Santorelli
Komarov-Kontiola-Winnik

I think that's our bottom-6 next season. With Bodie and Frattin as extra bodies.

Several more will work their way into the lineup in place of injuries.

I agree.
They'll see time because of injury

- Fakepartofme

It's a damned good looking bottom-6, IMO.

that 3rd line could wind up being more productive than last year's 2nd.

Yea, I'm on the same page. I can see why they'd want to keep Orr up(MacLaren's already down)... but I don't see how you can really justify sending one of the other guys down to keep him up.
- Feeling Glucky?

According to ESPN, Clarkson had 9 fights last year. McLaren had 8, and Orr had 6.

Buh-bye McLaren and Orr.

Lupul had 4 fights? WTF?

I guess with the new rules eliminating re-call waivers, once Ashton/Smith/Orr clear, they'll be on the short-list for call-ups.

Let's say there are 14 spots available - you have to send down 4 guys:

http://stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams/TOR?year=2015

Orr, Ashton, McLaren, Smith are my guesses.

Or maybe they keep one of Orr or McLaren for the press box and occasional goon duty.

Should be interesting.

- Atomic Wedgie

Orr has no place in the nhl anymore.
Ashton for sure will be back in the ahl..... Unless traded

Lupul is pretty chippy out there, doesn't surprise me at all.

If not for his health problems, I could see him pushing double digits when it comes to fights.

Yea, I wouldn't be shocked to see Ashton go the same way Colbourne did.

It was well known in cycling circles, that off camera, Lance Armstrong was one of the biggest douchebags you'd ever meet. To everyone. Lemond was no different.
- prock

My sister-in-law drank the Lance Armstrong Kool-aid. He could do no wrong. The book was inspiring, blah blah blah.

I said something about how all cyclists of the era were cheaters (at a family dinner) and she absolutely exploded on me. She was personally hurt by my accusation. It was bizarre. There was an uncomfortable tension in the room for about a year afterwards whenever we got together.

Of course a couple of years later he did the Oprah interview.

Its true. I worked with a guy who was friends with a guy who knew Kadri. Said his friend got high with Naz at his place.

Apparently Kadri has numerous bongs.

Tons of pro athletes smoke weed, let alone other drugs. WHy anyone is shocked by this is beyond me.

In theory, it translates to a team that can roll 4 lines, that all are a threat... giving the first, or at least 2nd line a easier time when it comes to scoring.

Might see the return of ppg Lupul/Kadri.

I guess I just don't see in Ashton what other people see.

IMHO, he's not an NHLer.

If it came down to Ashton or Holland, I'd go with Holland. I think he has a higher ceiling.

If you get a chance, watch the 30/30.

Greg LeMond seems like the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.
