Yeah, he had his Leafs flag on the Camaro and everything. In the past he's tweeted pics of him with the severed paws of a bear. The only way you should be allowed to hunt bears is you have to actually run over them with a Camaro, but it has to be in the woods. (frank) I would pay anything to watch bumholes try to do that. - Zezel

Nyr couldn't fit him in financially
Boyle got 2m from tb
They are the same age
Honestly thought Winnik was going to get the same as he made if not 2m - MTL1

My insiders said to me that Bernier is no where near close to being ready to go for next season. And that he might miss a significant part of the year. If we just dress Reimer for the first thirty games, Eichel is ours.
Bernier is the future of the Leafs, no way they rush him back too soon. Only thing that would mess up the one year TANK strategy of Lieweke/Shanahan and puppetis(Nonis), would be the return to top form of Gardiner, Lupul and Frattin. Something would have to be done, at that point to get back on track for last place overall, or second last place. Buffalo should also be in full on TANK mode this year as well.
Lieweke alone, forgetting Shanahan, knows the importance of high draft picks, and despite the phenomenal talent on homegrown players on the Kings, none of their homegrown players, save Kopitar, holds a candle to the potential of either Eichel or McDavid. These are big, large, franchise players.
Hopefully no one on this forum is silly enough to think that Lieweke and Shanahan are not aware of what securing one of these players means to the Buds in the next three to five years. - organicsteroid

(frank) off with corsi and all that other BS that people spew to sound like they are the ultimate hockey guy. - weirdoh
I agree. People should just shut up and watch the game of hockey instead of thinking they know everything about stats and all that poop |

Not sure. Don't know why NYR didn't find room to sign B. Boyle
Sometime teams are just in a different situation. Maybe trying to bring a young guy in that role.
He's not a difference maker individually, but so long as our bottom six doesn't include Orr, MacLaren, McClement, Smithson or Kulemin I am happy - walshyleafsfan
Kulemen...really?
He'd be great at the right price and less expectations |

That's why defensive play seems to have become more important than offense in a lot of circles. People like to look smart and think they know more than everyone else. |

Exactly. If you think you know so much than why sit behind a screen and complain about it, go get a job in the NHL or something |

1 or two might get bumped, but adding Komorov, Winnik, Booth,, Santonelli is terrific.
The Leafs might have had the worst bottom 6 in the entire NHl last season. |

The turn over is so great that it could be a train wreck with no chemistry, it could be a great success or be average, it is a wait and see. |

I actually agree. They have improved their bottom 6 hugely. We can actually play our 4th line. Oh, the novelty of it. It's going to feel weird at first.
They will help cut the shots against down quite a bit. The amount of shots last year when there was no forward in sight was craziness. Happy, happy days. |
