maybe...but, imo, the nhl was too fast for him both physically and mentally...and that's nobody's fault
- Michael Pachla

That was also 3yrs ago though, and we were playing him on the top line with Vanek & Pominville...
That was just way too much to expect him to handle
Maybe he just doesn't have "it"
But I think he's earned another shot in the NHL
I'd like to see him here for the year in the top6 to see what he can do. It would prob be his last chance...
With the way our lineup looks though, he's prob in Rochester... Unless Hodgson is back at center, then there's a LW slot open

If Enroth was a few inches taller he would be a fantastic goalie. He has great instincts and is athletic. But he is small, and when he tries to make himself bigger it opens up his five hole, and when he closes his five hole it opens up top shelf. I feel bad, because he is such a talent, but he cant get any taller.

Also, its better to sign Luke Adam to a 1 year deal and hope plays lights out in Rochester again and insulate him if he gets called up to Buffalo to make him look good, and then try to get something for him at the deadline, rather than just not sign him. So good signing.

I don't think it's a bad deal for them. He'll be the full time #2 C now with Richards gone and probably get the chance to play with better wingers.

I suppose they're banking on increased ice time=more production which is not un reasonable. He's only 26 or 27 so you can still expect decent production from him over that time.

IMO
Neuvirth has solid numbers playing on a defenseless Washington team. If healthy, he could provide them with a solid #1 for a few years. Again health is the issue.

Enroth doesn't have bad numbers avg wise. If he had players in front of him, he could be a good stop gap for now.

Hackett well we hear it from time to time, "He might be a better NHLer than AHLer". He has promise but needs to curb the attitude.

Ullmark has the highest ceiling.

Markov is the wild card.

Peterson could be the best of the bunch.

Lieuwen has all the tools but injuries are an issue.

Johansson to young to tell but by all accounts has promise.

- dadeadhead

Ullmark - Agreed

Makarov - easily better then Lieuwen. Future starting job will be between him and Ullmark.

Peterson - best of the bunch? Doubt he even makes as a starter in the NHL.

Lieuwen - Guys is our new version of Leggio. He will be a journeymen AHL starter.

Luke was signed to a 1 year 2 way deal.
I am happy they did this.

Definitely a "this is your last chance" contract.

While I agree that Ullmark is "the man" going forward, and we are loaded with potential in our goaltending stable, I wouldn't brush Lieuwen aside. Kid has some game, has ideal size, good technique, and has come a long, long way very fast (only has 60+ games of pro experience and more than held his own at the NHL level in a terrible situation last year).

I may be in the minority - and like I said, I believe Ullmark to be our franchise goalie down the road - but I'm pulling hard for Lieuwen. He's a likable kid and his attitude (respectful and ultra-competitive) is perfect.

Which was a dumb thing to say. Vanek doesnt make any player he plays with better.

Him and Nolan are boys. So yes.

Nobody wants to work for Teddy, thats why no coaches have been named yet.

Grand - just heard/read on Twitter today? This week the assistants should be named? Will see, my bet:
Boughner
Peca
Cunnyworth

Are a few in the picture!

Is this your opinion, or do you have info?

I have never heard this, and find that hard to believe.
