yes.

but the coen brothers changed a bunch of stuff for whatever reason. location and kinda the overall gist is similar, but the movie is totally different if you've already seen it. screenplay reasons i guess? dunno.

the tv show states in no uncertain terms that the names were changed at the request of the survivors, but in respect for the dead, the events were exactly what happened

He was actually decent in it. They play body builder/personal trainers who kidnap and extort from a rich client in the 80's definitely worth a watch.
