since there is no discussion currently going on and im sort of bored id like to start a few up if you dont mind.

1) if you had your choice of any current goalie disregarding contracts to play on your team today who would it be?

2.) im unfortunately going to bring up football because marshawn lynch is holding out and it blows my mind that the players are even allowed to do that under contract. Why cant you honor the contract you agreed to?

Hard to argue with the success of Quick, but for me, it's King Henrik.

i wasnt shocked at the quick decision at all actually. you may be shocked at mine: carey price.

Well theres a little factoid i didnt know, the league and players need to address that issue soon. As much of a garage league that the nhl is their contract situation is much better

I have a coworker that calls him the Jay Cutler of goaltenders. He just marches to his own beat. Sometimes it works for him, sometimes it doesn't. It would have been interesting to see how that Montreal series goes if he doesn't get hurt.

I know you're talking about the football player, but the first thing that came to mind was this freak of a human being.

Picturing the lanky Carey Price this roided up was pretty hilarious

i was thinking those would be the top 2 answers, no surprise really. I know we all hate boston but rask would be a great candidate as well minus the attitude. Although that attitude is most likely due to his competitiveness and his hate for losing so it can be look at as a good trait.

i would have loved to see it, it really took the gas out of the series once he went down. He definitely can steal games with the best of them and i feel like hes just hitting his full potential and i think we will see him up his game this upcoming season

King Henry for sure. I just like the way he plays.

You have to set conditions. Is it for this year? Is it for the next 5 years? 10 years?

If it's for this year only, I want Pavelac.

If it's for the next 3 years, I want our current tandem

If it's for years 4 and 5, I want Quick

If it's for 4-10, I want Gibson

I should also note that while these goalies are perceived to be good, I'm a huge American homer.

Just play Enroth this year. He might look good but they guy can't win a game to save his life. We will be guaranteed 30th by December

He will have a different defense in front of him. Experienced and not a bunch of 18y olds. might be a different outcome.

If they win some games and look good, awesome we might have a guy who can play for a few years.

If they bomb and lose most of their games, fine we're going for the top pick anyways.

Win-win situation for this year

Enroth's problems with winning started manifesting themselves well before last year, and the "all 18 year olds" myth disappeared as soon as Rolston was fired.

He played in 12 games last year that ended with a final score of 2-1. He won 3. He wasn't the issue in any of them. If your goalie can't even give up 2 goals and still be able to get a win, he's not the problem.

None of the big stretches of games Enroth has gotten to play in have been in even remotely decent circumstances. He was playing with half an NHL team in front of him the year Miller got hurt. There were upwards of 9 regulars that were hurt at the tiime.

He lost quite a few 4-3 5-4 games in his career as well well as having a bad shootout and OT record.... He doesn't win often.

I have no problem with him starting..especially this year

With all the positives going on with the Sabres. I'm trying to forget all the negatives. Plus it's the summer. Enjoy.

I'm not worried, when we are good 75% of this roster won't be here, most likely including the 2 goalies

I see no negatives. Other than hockey is going to be painful to watch for another year, it's all a means to an end.

I'm not so sure, and I hope I don't live to regret this statement...but Neuvrith reminds me of a young Hasek with his style of play...Quick too. I hope this change of scenery for him has the same impact on him it had on Hasek back in the day.

Btw, love my new Avatar..Jack Eichel in Sabres uniform with the C. I'm beginning to believe that Eichel might be "the guy" from next year's draft. And to think we are going to get 2 of the top 7 or so!!!
