Did you happen to read far enough into the article to see that the next step in the bidding process happens on Tuesday? And that Pegula is one of 10 "groups" that submitted non-disclosure documents.
- HonkFortheGoose

I want Pegula to get the team so bad. He'd be the best thing for the Bills right now, and I think he'd get a stadium built downtown for us and continue the transformation he started with Harborcenter.

I did actually but I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of a potential bills move to Toronto, I was highlighting (mocking) the opening paragraph mentioning the feasibility study. I found it funny that they needed one.

Fwiw, the majority of Canadians can't stand the NFL and don't want it up here.

I think the proof is in the "attendance" (if you could even call it that) at the games in Toronto. I vaguely remember hearing they couldn't give tickets away either.

The three big American sports don't do well up here.

Baseball has been here for more than two decades with two championships and even when this team was/is competitive it can barely push 25,000 on a weekday at night. I remember watching a Tigers afternoon game (they had a worse record than the jays at the time) and they had over 35,000 for 1:00 pm start on a Tuesday.

Before the post-season run basketball was a similar story, they were begging people to take season tickets at a discounted price, and their tickets were a fraction of what a leafs ticket would cost at the same seat in the ACC.

If they wanted to bring an NFL team to Toronto and actually sell out games, it would have to be a really, really good team or have an iconic athlete to draw fans in.

They couldnt. Tickets were overpriced and there was no Tailgate. It was bad. But the Toronto sports fan is very fickle. If the Bills were good they would be all over it. At the end of the day I don't see the nfl being good for Toronto. They won't gain any tv viewers. The stadium might be the worst in the free world and even if they got s stadium built it. Could cost them well over a billion dollars, maybe close to 2. So tickets will be astronomical and there wont be any tailgate. Fans will hate it.

Toronto is no different than any American sports city. If you put a winner there, people will come watch. Winning is how fans are made, and traditions are born.

The reason why the Bills struggled to get fans up there is because the team has been a joke since 1999. The Blue Jays struggle with their fanbase because they haven't made the playoffs since they won the World Series in 1993. If these teams were really good teams, not just okay teams, but perennial contenders, Toronto fans would shell out as much money as any other major sports market.

I was talking about Toronto, not Buffalo. If the Bills were a really good team when Ralph Wilson signed that deal to play up at Rogers Center, it would have no problem selling out.

Biggest problem up is there is Toronto taxpayers want no part of paying for a billion dollar Stadium . That is needed as Skydome does not meet NFL capacity rules as a regular home for a team

Understood, but anybody that thinks that if the Bills had, say, New England's pedigree, and would still struggle to sell out the "Bills in Toronto Series" (i.e. one game a year at Rogers Center), is kidding themselves.

Canadians would travel here for the games . Tailgating is not a welcome activity in Ontario
