We DO expect better. But we're realistic to know that the kind of "better" you are talking about - and we all expect - can't happen overnight.

So we're pleased - but not satisfied or content - to see that the process that's required to get the team to "better" is finally underway and gaining traction.

Well said.

Agreed. I'm one of the guys dialed in and ready for the ride

I just think that if we knew what a cup felt like, some more fans would be pissed at intentionally losing. We as Sabres fans are numb to losing, what's a few more years if it pays off right?

I have a sense GMTM does not want the process to be "a few years." He doesn't strike me as a patient man.

Who's satisfied?

None of us are.

But to come in here and say NOTHING positive, ever?

I could list 25 positive things about that franchise.

Like I said, at that point it becomes incessant whining and complaining and crying. It gets old and it's childish.

- grand-magus

Like I said I think it is a regular poster here. Think about it.

I don't know about that. If we had won in the salary cap era I think most of us would still be okay with it. Nobody enjoys intentionally losing whether your team has won a cup or not but I'd rather see them bottom out for two years (well one year now) and be a contender for the next 10 than watch them battle for 8th for the next decade ultimately going nowhere.

Watch the draft video about Cody Hodgson lol, highest hockey IQ in the draft lol, OMG. Compared him to Chris Drury lol

The so called experts also said at the draft that Cody Hodgson was smarter and had a higher hockey IQ then anyone in his draft class lol, actually Hodgson is one of the very worst players in the entire NHL in his own zone, he is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Dumb.... Or just one dimensional. I have seen him make very smart, calculated plays. Just in the off zone

Cody Hodgson is the smartest player in the Sabres organization. His IQ is off the charts. His off season workouts are legendary, and besides Girgensons, he is pound for pound the strongest player on the team. And then we get to his Ken doll looks. Like, OMG, he is sooooooo dreamy. His piercing blue (blew, blu, bloo) eyes are stunning, like a calm Caribbean ocean. Future captain material, as well. Well, at least alternate captain material, as Girgensons is obviously our next captain after Gionta leaves.

Agreed. He's a talented hockey player, problem is it's only shown/used in 1/3 of the arena.

He'd be able to get away with that if (like the tsn crew mentioned) he had the explosive speed.

I can see that. So used getting so little sucess in the last "regime" that I was basically open to the idea of trying anything new to turn the franchise around. Any move made in the last year or so was always going to look great (or maybe good) in my eyes because of that.

I still do the trade for Kassian , You want to call Hodgson dumb ? You know better than all the experts and the staff at TSN ! You are some Squirrel ! Kassian was dumb as a box of rocks . Guess we should have kept him ? He has had so much success !
I still think Hodgson will be a fine 2nd liner . , maybe not here . But he has accepted his move to the wing and is willing to do what is best for the franchise.

Own up , What is your other screen name . I think I have a good idea .

Once Darcy Regier made the trades he did in 2013, this team had no choice but to tank. Doing anything other than that would cost this team a legitimate shot at a championship for at least a decade. That being said, at this point, it's like a family member who is an alcoholic checking into rehab for the first time. You're happy for him, but he's still got a long way to go before you call him recovered. And there's still plenty of time and opportunity for things to go terribly wrong.

Sounds like 20th century Bickell
- Sabresfan-365

10, 20+ goal seasons.

12, 40+ point seasons.

786 regular season points in 1215gp.

Bickell wishes he'd have that type of career.

I think he was getting at our current (say with a lisp) super smart center Reinhart and how his intelligence is just off the charts but his skating might need a little work. Remember this scout has been saying that for months. Disappointment on the way.

Not if we tank for McEickel and have Reinhart play his quiet but 60 pt seasons as our #2 center

Yes , We know you are way smarter than Tim Murray and the entire Sabres scouting staff . After all they went and watched all these prospects live and reviewed hundreds of hours of video tape . But they are all fools. . Why that fool Pegula allowed Lafontaine hire Murray is beyond me!

Moulson, Vanek, Phil kessel, AO, Patrick Kane, Rick Nash and Martin St. Louis all raise their hands and ask "Problem?"[/img]
