Maybe he's slightly above average if you include the players like Salvador and Murray who play with cement in their skates, but he's not close to being a good enough skater to make up for his lack of size and strength, which all goes back to athleticism.

We'd have to make sure a deal is in place before the trade though. Hawks would need something that's better than the 55th pick to do the trade but no one's giving up a 2nd round pick for someone who could walk unless they had a deal worked out before.

He would be a top our forward prospect list though so whether or not it makes sense for him it absolutely makes sense for us to be interested and with him being near NHL ready and being 6'4 with wheels is very attractive to us and could give him a quicker route to the NHL then a team like Chicago or Florida

Thats because(if I recall correctly) Schultz used some weird loophole where he dropped out at a certain time or something like that to become a FA whereas this guy has completed school and just decided Chicago wouldn't be the fastest route for him. At least he's giving Chicago a little time to shop him, where Schultz just did it out of the blue
