Here ya go, Goose.

"There's definitely a higher level this year," said Girgensons, taken 14th in 2012. "Personally I have more of a leadership role as we have a couple guys that have been around and I have a full year

- stashu[in the NHL] under my belt. It's been more about trying to lead the guys and be more of a role model."

Girgensons is someone the Sabres want to see other young players emulate. He had eight goals and 22 points in 70 games last season playing in a physical, checking role. Finding other players to be a complementary fit with the scorers is important, and that's where a couple of players acquired from other teams fit into the equation, Jordan Samuels-Thomas and Hudson Fasching.

As a dad who can't get out much and hates most regular tv, I would love that. The channels emblem would be burned in to my tv set. However teams like the Bandits and Bisons needs to sell tickets far more than they need to sell ads to Northtown and Geico for what would be an average audience of 2,500 people.

The Bandits don't have an issue in selling tickets, the Bisons do.

I think if Bisons games were regularly broadcast more people would watch then in turn more people would go out to a game

Bandits, I don't go to the games. I hear they do well, like 16,000 a game, but its not inconceivable that I couldn't get a box office ticket on gameday.

I agree on the Bisons thing. Increased visibility would make people more aware and more likely to go. I doubt the business leaders for the Bisons would agree though.

Stripes - when you have worked the Dev camps, are you guys given instruction on how to referee? Do they ask you to be a bit more lenient on calls just to see the flow of the game more?

I ask because there were barely any calls made in the scrimmage.

I think if I were coaching, I'd find some way to have at least one PP/PK session per team per period, just to see what they're made of.

I'm kinda surprised it's that many.....I mean I know it's not like the NFL where the same "elite" teams play in prime time and all the rest play Sundays at 1...but it is safe to say most of the league is pegging us for a race to the basement again...so y showcase a bottom feeder so much

Ratings. May not be big overall #s, but they can boast some decent shares.

Also, some of the games are against teams that don't draw good numbers (Carolina, Tampa, San Jose are a few), so it helps them out some.
