No shame in getting the 9game stint, then go back to Jrs and dominate (again) and work on getting bigger /stronger.
He must have only been able to do one pull up

Got no problems with that. There is absolutely zero need to rush anyones development this year.

That is what the rational folks are trying to say . It seems we have a lot of fans that have no time for a well thought out and planned out rebuild . Some of these long suffering fans demand results now . In Tim and Ted I trust to do this thing right. If the kid deserves to be here , great ! If not do not keep him here to keep a few whiners happy. It could be worse. We could be Florida Panthers fans !

Doesn't grigorenko have a better chance to play up than reinhart? Heard he had a good camp.
- joshs

he's finally on track and you wanna bring him back?

let's let him develop in Rochester this year and then we'll go from there

Nobody wants to "rush his development". The fallacy lies in the automatic assumption that leaving him in the NHL does that. That's not always the case.

Nope. Just said that heard he had a good camp. Wondering if he has a better shot than Samson.

He could stay here and played sheltered minutes 10 - 15 a game . Or he could back to Junior play 20 -25 minutes a game ( honing his skills ) , play on all special teams , be a team captain and work on his leadership skills . While at the same time as building himself up physically. Tim and Ted will determine the right path I am sure.

Reinhart.

While there are zero guarantees, the fact remains that we could (even though I, personally, think we're going to be better than last year) finish bottom two and get the chance to draft McEichel.

For all you who think that Reinhart should go back to junior, should we dare insert TWO rookie centermen into the lineup next season? That could spell disaster.

- grand-magus

It could actually be 3 if Grigorenko spends the entire season in the AHL.

But if Reinhart isn't ready, what other option is the really?

We're not going to screw with the development of a key piece moving forward, just so we don't have too many rookies moving up at the same time.. That's crazy.

If we have too many prospects jump to the big club at once, and it "spells disaster", well maybe that's just par for the course?

Chalk it up to "growing pains", draft another high pick, and keep on truckn' !!

I don't care if he has a great camp .. He needs to stay in the AHL for half the year

Then he can come up .

I don't see us trading him now. We would get 2x the value at the deadline.

Vanek was a different story. I didn't wanna wait until the deadline on him. His value was high after being a PPG player in the lockout season.

Stewart doesn't have a lot of value, let him play top 6 minutes.

Seriously what would we get now? A 3rd rounder ? An average prospect maybe

On a side note, Dan Catenacci should be one of the 1st injury call ups this year

At LEAST a 2nd rd pick, IMO...

Tho at this point, what do the Sabres really need another 2nd rd pick for?

In 5 years (when said prospect might be ready for an NHL look), there's gonna be a roster logjam due to the abundance of picks that the Sabres have accumulated.
