I agree. I think we will win a few more games than last year, and be more competitive and tougher to play against. That's the goal.

In contrary to the Oiler's model which was "I really know these top picks can make us better," we have taken the approach of bringing in veterans that know how to play and build up the young kids.

I feel the same way. With the vets they brought in this year the team will be better, but marginally. They may not win a lot more games, but they'll at least be like watching NHL games again as opposed to the Beer league hockey it seemed like we were watching for stretches of last year.

I think defensively we will be more sound. The team will be in better shape, which won't hurt them late in the game. Goaltending is my biggest concern, but the two fighting for time could be beneficial.

Scoring won't be much different, but chemistry should be high and that could lead to lucky bounces. Who knows. I'm still interested in what happens on the ice. That is something I couldn't say last year.

I hope that we are better defensively, but I'm not sure how much of an upgrade Gorges/Meszaros are. Especially with Meszaros forcing TM to trade Myers ;x
