Brian Duff making an awesome point right now on Hotline.

Brendan Lemieux trying to rattle Risto the other night, blue's best player..

Smart.

- TheSabresTaco

If B. Lemieux really wanted to make a name for himself, he would have tackled Girgensons after that hit on Reinhart! He'd have become an overnight sensation in this town!

I mean, think about it... If you hit Gretzky (even with a clean hit), McSorely was spearing you or clubbing you over the head.

Now I'm not saying fight your teammate over a clean hit, but if Lemieux had just tackled him, wresteled, and afterwards said "Nobody is gonna take liberties with Sam on my watch"... This city & organization would eat that up!

Anybody 6'8 or taller in your office?
- buffalofan19

No and I think it would have taken someone taller. It's not like it was all over..... Just a little bit resting on top for me to stare at

Yep, we'd all be sayin "DAAAAAAMN, this kid stood up to Zemgus!! He's badass!!"

Instead, the sentiment is; maybe Reinhart & Lemieux need more time.

Be that as it may, perhaps the best course is to continue to let the likes of Reinhart, Lemieux, Risto, Zadorov, McCabe, Grigorenko simmer, & then watch them all make the jump when McEichel comes aboard?

That'll be a significant injection of youth, and should be quite interesting to observe.

You're going to inject 7 rookies into the lineup at the same time?

Recipe. For. Disaster.

"Team lazy"

No offense, but over the last few days, no one has brought out the "lazy russian" phrase other than you/in response to you...

I don't get how Lemieux is "NHL ready" as some people have suggested. Maybe in 2 years, but not now.

I think it's the "Zemgus method".

He's pretty physically mature (6', 209 lbs), plays with an edge, relentless, dogged, skates well, etc.

I mean, could be play a 4th line role now? Probably.

Should he? Uncle's Teddy and Timmy will decide.

Maybe, however I see him as our Brendan Gallagher type player. I think he needs 2 years of grooming at least

I like Gallagher.

Lemieux's heart obviously will never come into question.

This team's promise is very exciting.

well said,
if you want him to run around with patrick kaleta talent then sure run him out there. But I expect way more out of him than that.

We have plenty of bottom-6 players. There is no reason for him to not go back to juniors and develop his offensive game like many have said.

Me too. I think he will be a Steve Ott-lite. Agitate and solid PK

100% agree, why rush when there is no immediate need. Feel to many people cant sit though this rough 2-3 year patch.

I think we only need one more tough, but interesting year before things start to get really interesting.

What don't some of these folks get about that? The team at least will be entertaining to watch this year . Long term success is the goal.

1 more year to be average, 2-3 for a clear picture of what they can do. Feels like it just takes 1 or 2 guys to go over expectations and we should have long term success
