poop yea..

Cabin..

Going camping this weekend on the Hudson River Valley, some place that offers WWR.

Had to tell you, I have 4 pounds of taco meat and 3 bags of cheese. I don't know if you know what moon pies are, but I'm making taco pies.

To clarify..seeing as moon pies are those cookie things.. I was referring to when you have one of those campfire pie makers, where you pretty much make a grilled cheese with meat (only way to make them). So if you have guessed by now..the meat is taco and the cheese is..taco cheese. I have a tub of sour cream to dip in. I'm not as fat as I sound.

Maybe. I like his opinions more than Schopp and Simon.

That's definitely a "fat man's" sort of post there.

So, I know it's been talked about a few times about how this team is lacking a true offensive defenseman. Has anyone really put any confidence in Jerome Leduc? He's been very slow to develop and this year is going to be a huge year for him.

Rochester's projected defense for 14-15 (Sabres and Amerks both missing a 7th)

McCabe-Ristolainen
Bagnall-Strachan
Austin-Leduc

Hopefully Leduc improves his defensive game so he can stick with the Amerks all year. He's definitely going to have to score more than .20 ppg pace to become an AHL/NHL offensive defenseman. So this year is huge for him. If there's no improvement I would hope we seek a young one in the late first or second round next year or try to acquire one.

I'm looking forward to being able to sleep in and in my own bed this weekend. I love being on vacation, but at the same time, there's no place like home.

If Myers reaches his "full potential", he will be that offensive defenseman.

That's a reason I was hoping Julius Honka or Anthony D'Angelo fell to us at 31.

Although Myers, Ristolainen, and Zadarov all have goal scoring potential

It's been nice to be home this week. It'll be even more nice to be able to sit around and do nothing all weekend if I don't want to.

I would like to see them add an Andrei Markov type set up man on the blue line.

As soon as he became healthy, Subban became unstoppable on the PP

I don't think he's trending in that direction. He was a different type of player his rookie year, but I'm talking about a Letang or Karlsson or Subban style. High aspirations but we could really use a guy like that. So could 25 other teams but you know. But hey, if Myers can get his two way game up to a level where it's perceived to be possible along with scoring 50 points a year, he'll be worth his weight in diamonds.

I just found this gem over on the Sens board:

Boston and Detroit are teams that have a lot of miles on them - this division is wide open.

Ottawa has a good shot at being a top 3 team in this division - I'd say it goes

TB
Boston
Ottawa
Montreal
Detroit
Florida
Toronto
Buffalo
