Why would Tampa want Phaneuf?

There has to be some contracts they'd like to move out? The Leafs can afford to take on a contract TBL doesn't want.

I'd be looking for Slater Koekkoek, another prospect and a 1st back at the minimum for Phaneuf + salary relief for TBL in some capacity

Tampa has plenty of young pieces they could move for Dion....if the Leafs took Brewer to make the cap work.

I agree, i also would say the same if i had myers on my team tho, so i cant hate much on the Buf fans. Just with hockey buzz, everyone over values their players, and assumes they should get the world for them.
