Burrows I threw in to get cap relief and move a NTC. This year before the season starts Vancouver fans would say I am nuts. If Burrows doesn't score 20 there will be a list of fans saying move him. Look at the list of Chicago fans trying to move Sharp for Ellers.

I don't see him playing with the Sedins this year seeing Change is coming as the advertisement says, so I don't see Burrows scoring 20. I may be wrong.

Chi fans wouldn't move Sharp straight up for Ellers, and you are nuts if you think Burrows is a throw in for Cap relief. Burrows is the best player in that trade, you really need to get over one bad season that was full of injuries. Burrows will score 20 and avg about 45 points while being hard to play against , killing penalties and will most likely be the best canuck forward not named Sedin at driving play.

This a look at the last 3 years of forwards who have played 2000 min or more. And while some people don't understand or care to learn about advanced statistics it is currently the best tracking tool to see which players drive play regardless of points which can be luck driven. Burrows also passes the " eye test" even last year when he wasn't scoring he created many chances and was a very good defensive player.

Burrows is crap. He's part of the old regime and needs to be shipped out while he still has some value. If he starts off the year well, I'd trade him to Montreal or Tampa for some young talent or picks.

Kesler is gone, Burrows needs to be next.

Sedins need a puck retrieval type of player, Burrows, Kesler, Santorelli, Carter, and even Pyatt and Klatt to a certain extent could all bang in the corners to free the puck up for the Sedin Cycle. I don't see Vrbata being that guy either but the PP will benefit from his shooting ability IMO. I really hope Kassian gets another chance but otherwise wouldn't be surprised to see Burrows riding shotgun again this year.

I liked Jensen a lot last year with the Canucks, but don't be surprised when he disappears for 10 straight games, he's done that throughout his career. Very streaky player that can be frustrating for coaches/fans.

Any coach who thinks the Sedins are capable of doing anything other than establishing possession and cycling down low is an idiot. They are what they are. They've never possessed great speed, they've never created offence from the rush.

Lines two and three will have to do that as we transition into a younger team. Looking forward to that a few years down the road.

Then he needs to produce high when he is on his game. You need to give him proper line mates. If he is going to take twenty or so games of disappearing then when he is hot trade him for a more consistent meat and potatoes type.

Where do I start with this?

You can't change the entire player base in one summer, it'll happen over the next few years, guys like Higgins, Burrows, Hansen etc will all be gone in a few years. Miller and Vrbata are simply stop gap players until some youth can show they've earned a spot on the club.

Henrik is our PPQB, Edler is more then capable of another 40+ point year! We're gonna be fine. Are we gonna win the Cup, no, but the team will compete hard as they build towards a brighter future.
