Not sure about great chance of making the show, but I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be the best player drafted by the Canucks this year. I thought Garrison clearly was struggling with a groin injury this year and it showed in his game. When healthy I think he is a top 4 guy on most teams and should be a big part of the powerplay. All that said I understand the his cap space needed to be moved, but feel like a 2nd round pick ( and a risky pick of a goalie) was a little underwhelming of a return.

At 6'0 183 he might not be physically there yet, especially if he is supposed to be the third line C. I would prefer to see him on the 2nd with Bonino and Vrbata and have one of Richardson or Horvat as the 3C. I think he clearly has the skills to be in the NHL but think he will be wasted in the bottom 6.

Tinordi will be solid in two years and Ellers is a good second line centre. We are giving up a potential 3 rd line centre and moving 2 NTCs

Trades are made all the time that don't work out, I am certainly hoping this one works out and won't even be judging it upon how Vey does in this first season as he is still young and show great potential but you really have to be drinking the Koolaid if you think every move Benning has and will make will work out the way he wants.

Burrows competes harder than anyone else on the roster. I don't get all the hate. It's not like his sh!tty cap hit is the thing holding us back from contending. Hair pulling aside, he puts forth the effort I want our kids to emulate.

Ellers plays 3LC in MTL, and has shown little ability to jump up. Horvat may easily develop into a better player than him. Tinordi may crack the Habs roster as a bottom pairing Dman. You could easily trade those pieces and get more in return.

He was clarifying for another poster. It is the quoted segment of the author that I disagree with. As I suspect most of you would as well.
Saying the Nucks were the best team in a given year due to winning the presidents trophy is an injustice to the real best team in hockey for that given year.
