I think you're underestimating them. Signing these guys to one year contracts when they have a ton to prove is a very low risk/high reward move. This not only positions the Preds nicely with a coach who's known for getting the most out of his offenses, but it gives their youngsters more time to develop. The Preds have an impressive group of forwards in the pipeline.
No one here thinks they're going to contend for a Stanley Cup, but this is a great step back towards respectability again after the last two dismal seasons.

Ribeiro' talents have never been the issue. His skill level is off the charts. However his attitude has major up and downs. He is also not liked by many teammates. He rubs people the wrong way and is your prototypical douche bag. Like a mix of Vanialla Ice and some Jersey Shore guy. |
