I'm sure a couple of these higher profile kids we have won't pan out (the odds are, anyway), but if the majority of our potential top-9 kids meet expectations, and we're able to add one (or two... C'mon NYI!) of those 2015 guys, we are going to have an embarrassment of riches.

I am looking forward to the trades that some of these prospects will make available. 2 years from now we will have an even deeper prospect pool and a decent NHL team. it will be time to spin some draft picks and prospects into more top end NHL talent. We could pull off a deal like the Segin trade without being worried about not having depth.

Thats the thing. Once all these college kids start graduating/signing pro contracts Tim Murray is going to have to start trading assets. The Sabres have 'too many' prospects in their system that have the potential to pan out. Which is a great problem to have, but I am sure he is figuring out a game plan to start shedding some of them.

I am under the impression that any player in the top 7-10 would be a game changer, so I don't think it's necessary.

I would do this as well, but McDavid is generational talent. Even when the draft is weak, 1st overall commands a fortune in return.

McDavid is being touted as the best prospect since crosby, I'm not sure there's an offer we could make that would peak that teams interest.
