I think that Fasching and Baptiste are the wingers that I am most looking forward to getting up in Roch/Buffalo besides Armia.
- JVince11

Baptiste's goal was just pure hard work and determination. He drove to the net with a Dman (not sure who) all over him and just threw the puck at the net. He got lucky a lucky bounce off of McCabe's skate.

Exactly... gotta make changes... otherwise the Future General Managers of the NHL of Hockeybuzz will never sign you in the future.

Tip#1 for Russian prospects- Just tell everyone you are from the Czech Republic, yes it's basically the same country, but to narrow-minded fans it will make a huge difference

Reinhart had a couple good moves. Girgensons played the way you would expect him to. Risto played pretty well. Took a few hits. Gave out a few.

Zadorov was all over the place, but he needs to learn to not put himself out of position while still being able to play the physical game he wants to.

- HonkFortheGoose

Zadorov's size & aggressiveness might make him Buffalo's most important defenseman someday.

If any of these prospects projects to be Brent Seabrook-esque, it's him.

Nah, That's Ristolainen. Size, style of play, offensive talent. They are similar

Zadarov is a puck rusher, like Myers. he just can't skate like him

My new Sabres crush, replacing Vanek. I think/hope the kid is gonna be a stud goal scorer.

I reallllllllly like the idea of a

Fasching - Reinhart - Armia line in a year or two.

I don't think that Zadorov will have an offensive upside as Seabrook does.

Zadorov is going to be a best 2nd line pairing type guy in the NHL. Just punishes everyone that comes near him.

If only he had a killer slapper from the point.

IMO he has the upside Seabrook does, but they are 2 totally different players.

Carrier - Grigorenko - Armia

our top line for Rochester...

Could be a VERY good year for them.

This reminds me. Fasching looked pretty good yesterday. Seems to love driving the net. Something we have desperately lacked for the most part for years (other than Vanek).
- HonkFortheGoose

Yeah Fasching went to the net on almost every shot while on the ice....he didn't seem to be the feller test of foot but he definitely goes to the places goals are scored.....he will get a lot of garbage goals

I'm going to say yes, because he's played 4 years in the QMJHL already. However, he is only 19 and won't be 20 until December, so I could be wrong.

I loved that goal. I told my buddy next to me that it was clear why the kid had 40+ goals last season. He works on his passing, he could be a great third line complimentary guy.

They have to be on their entry level deal.

The one guy that wasn't there that I've yet to hear a reason for, is Connor Hurley.

- HonkFortheGoose

yeah, Locke is also a free agent. Not property of the Sabres.

Kevin avg just over 14 goals and 42 point a year over 16 seasons.

I'd be happy with one of the group doing that.

Not an expert on it either, but I thought 20 was the age you're allowed, but perhaps the rule is "20 by time the season starts", but I thought it might be 20 that calendar year. *shrug*

One day I may read up on it so I know better.

He and sundher both looked so fast...no question given Time Baptist will be a dangerous top 6 fwd for us...... sundher impressed me looks like he could be a nice sneaky defensive fwd.

Once you play 4 yrs of juniors you become eligible.

They mentioned that Rynheart only has one year of OHL eligibility left.

If I had to choose one player that really stuck out to me it was Carrier. Had 2 or 3 really good chances including one that went off the post and showed great speed.

On the other hand, Lemiux didn't do much for me. He had some scuffles and tried to get under the skin of players but as far as offense goes he wasn't doing too much.

I think our defensemen were really good last night with Risto and Zadorov looking much bigger and much better than everyone else on the ice, possibly to the point where it was killing our top lines offense. I'd like to see both go down to the Roch and juniors respectively but everything I saw I liked.

Also, 8,000 people at a scrimmage for the last place team in the middle of July, that's not too shabby

Sorry, I just love typos that get mangled like that.

Was that voice-command?
