What has he really done that was so bad?
Gets drafted and plays with Atlanta. Moves to the Peg. Has had some issues in Winnipeg that do not seem to be entirely his fault, if at all. Don't recall him being a bad apple in Atlanta.

First coach got fired because he was a bad coach, nothing more. We hear this narrative all the time, p Kane, Subban, Seguin, Turris. Once they literally grow up they reach their full potential and turn into very good players ( yes I Kbps management was tough on them and we would need to do the same to keep him in line and I think new management is capable of that).

What does it take?

If they want him they're going to have to. That may be trying to move him, but they doesn't change the fact that half this league is probably going to call about him. Bidding war ensues and you end up paying a steep price.

They seem to need forwards more than defense.

They have Bogosian, Enstrom, big Buff, Trouba and Morrissey coming up through the ranks.

That is the type of crap that get said around here when the usual suspects overvalue and covet all these players . No quick fixes , let's just do it right . Next off season start wheeling and dealing with all the assets.
