I saw Lebron signing in Cleveland as soon as he opted out. The guy loves the 330. He wanted to win, so he did.

Now he can go home and try to dominate the east 45 minutes from his house in Akron.

As far as the Development camp is concerned, I am very excited to hear about the kids. I am curious why Hurley isn't listed, but I am sure there is a reason. Maybe he has camp for his College team (maybe I'm thinking of the wrong player)

Why is Girgensons going to development camp? I thought he was "already one of the best two way centers in the entire NHL already" (Matthew Collier WGR buffalo geek Stat expert)... Maybe he could try to work on his faceoffs which were 41% and try to learn how to stick handle with puck with his head up. Ted Nolan kept Girgensons in NHL while all other young guys went to AHL or back to juniors, so that must mean the coaches Son needs nothing in any camp with kids.

I think he is a player that is not above making himself better. He strives consistently to be better day after day. I would much rather him be at the development camp than not, personally. I am not saying he is a perfect player. I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect hockey player. Why not get involved with some younger guys, show them the ropes and keep growing yourself?

Just curious how many teams open a developmental camp without having assistant coaches yet. What is taking so long?

It's usually for players drafted within the past 3 years. Usually. And players who want to better themselves.

I'd love to see where Matt Collier said that. Because I doubt it.

I wouldn't put it past him. Coller said he wouldn't trade Girgensons for MacKinnon. He's off his rocker more often than not.

The reason that Girgensons is still at that development camp is because Coller is dead wrong.

Collier's not an idiot, him and Capaccio have pretty good assessments of talent.

I wouldn't be surprised if squirrel was bending quotes to make him look bad, but if Collier said anything of the sort, he might have said something along the lines of he's working towards, or a certain facet of his game is among the best.. something like that.

He's way too inexperienced to be the best at anything right now, a chimp could tell me that.

Just wanted to post this real quick..

With Lebron returning to Cleveland and choosing our blue collar brother of the Midwest I cant help but feel a bit jealous...

I'm not a huge basketball fan but hated Lebron after he scorned Cleveland originally for the glitz and glamour and bandwagoners alike in Miami. Recently punks like Donte Whitner have scorned my appreciation for the city so them getting him and Manziel just makes me shake my head... ESPN will never be the same...

Now you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with hockey? Well... As you all know Patrick Kane just signed a huge contract extension with Chicago. He is from Buffalo and although he wasn't drafted here and then left like Lebron he did still in a way kick Buffalo to the curb. Not nearly in the same way as Lebron but I just thought Patty Kane coming home still in his prime being one of the top 5 arguably players in the NHL to win a cup would have just been an amazing story.

There's not many great athletes currently from Buffalo in Football and Hockey. Sure there's Gronk who also chose to sign an extension with a powerhouse but other than him its clearly Kane. He's said he was a Sabres fan growing up. He's all ready won two Stanley cups in Chicago. What else does he really have to prove there??

If he would have came HOME to Buffalo and got us to the cup with our great young prospects he could have cemented himself up there with the greats in hockey! Winning a Stanley cup in a city that has in my humble opinion faced even more hardship in sports than Cleveland would be a great accomplishment for any player let alone one from his home town. He'd be a god here!...

Again I know Chicago has a dynasty brewing and everything but it would have been a really great thing for this city to have him come here.

if he has been working out there is no reason he couldn't be 219 and in very good shape.. that would also mean he is a meat head.. which doesn't usually bode well for a skilled player in the NHL
- IndianaSabresFan

but does bode well for a power forward on the wing...maybe?

The guy is 6'3 and was noted by scouts that his speed and strength needed to increase to a NHL level. That strength portion has been reached on paper. Now, onto his speed....

There are plenty of big skilled players in the NHL. Not sure what the meat head reference is to either.
