i for one am happy as hell that they are finally promoting from within
in my eyes thats a huge culture shift for this franchise - Dozzer
I agree. That + keeping contracts under control.
We've got a bunch of quality prospects + late rounders that might pan out. |

Sobotka getting 4 million in KHL ....would have matched that if I were the Blues. Although taxes may have made him leave anyway. - The Law
for a 33P 4th line centre?
why? |

He's good, no way he's 4mil good.
Reminds me of the Jiri Hudler scenario. |

those mlse, PPP etc accounts and the likes do nothing but female dog and moan, why people follow them is beyond me, just like the hope smoke guy who just repeats everything other people say, can`t think for himself I guess. - LeafMan
I like Hotstove but PPP gets my blood pressure flying. Those guys are so single minded, it's amazing actually. |

they need to establish a culture that if you do well in development, you're going to get an honest shot at the big club. |

Ohhh..you mean that top line.
He is cute, but made of glass...like a Royal Dalton Boy. I like him, but would love to see him traded if he ever got healthy for any stretch of time, you know, before he got broken again. - Woderwick
And you wonder why players don't want to come to Toronto.. Fans are always looking beyond their current roster. |

Doesn't constitute drinking and driving.
Simply reckless driving. According to the courts, he's paid his dues, and career hasn't been as good since. - Fakepartofme
his career took off after he left Atlanta. he went on to post monster numbers in Ottawa and signed a massive contract. |

He's not as much as an impact player as Kessel, or Tavy.. If Leaf trade Kessel they are getting an elite player coming back. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Well, time will tell, but I think Ryan Johansen is a very good player soon to be an elite player. The guys only 21, 6'3 223lbs and got 63 pts last year. I also said I would ask for a prospect and 1st rounder as well.
The way I look at the Leafs is they are kinda in no mans land. They lucked out this year getting Nylander but if they hadn't colapsed at the end we would not have had a good kid. We are a team bordering a playoff team, maybe in maybe just miss. Too good to get a lottery pick, too bad to do anything special in the playoffs. How do we get to be a Chicago or an LA or someone who down the road as a serious cup contender?
Where do you think the Leafs will be in three years? Kessel will be 28 when the season starts in October. So in three yrs he will be 31 yrs old. His prime will be long behind him I think. I don't doubt even Buffalo will be better then us in three years with the kids they have plus I think they have 3 first rounders next year. |

I have no impact on any Toronto Maple Leaf signing whatsoever, but some like to fish quite a bit and that's good. Just my opinion - that's all. Take it or leave it. I'm just here for the Hors d'oeuvre's. |

No, at least the boxes hit the conveyer belt before they fell off. |
