Kane won a Conn Smythe and usually leads the team in scoring. They both deserved it.
As for Pittsburgh, I think if Crosby and Malkin were healthy in previous years, they would have at least one more Cup and probably have at least one more Cup in their future.
All of these guys are easily top 10 if not top 5 if not the best player in the league at any given time. If you don't pony up and pay these guys, who are you going to pay? - JohnFergusonJr
Nothing about wingers.. I never said there were 10 better wingers. He came along after an challenges me to name 10 better wingers. So I said no. |

for the same price you can have
1 Toews or 1 P.Kane or 2 Bollands or 2 Tavares - senstroll
2 JT's
He (frank)ed himself...not that he's destitute or anything. Injuries can end a career just like that. Some of these guys make their decisions with that in mind. |

But Bollands camp claimed the Leafs were short $800,000 per year. - Woderwick
Where the Leafs short 800k, or was the "discounted price" 800,000 less for Bolland, after taxes?
Honest question. |

That's horsepoop, I doubt he wanted to play here in the first place. He knows by saying these things on public recordings he's likely to run up his value for potential suitors. - A_Tree
But that came after he signed...not before. Not that it matters. As Big_D says - "He's dead to me now." |

I think the special discount was only a discount in the sense that Bolland would make less because of tax.
In reality, it was probably the number they wanted from everyone else, or more. |

Biggs has all the tools to develop into a dangerous power forward at the NHL level, but will have to find another gear in his skating, less coasting and maintain a higher level of overall intensity to his game on nightly basis if the Milan Lucic comparisons are to have merit. No reason not to be patient as most power forwards take a while to realize their potential.
I hope he turns into something. It's all on him now to want it badly enough. - CanadianBodmon
I know there is still time, but so far wouldn't you call Bigg's a first round bust? I thought he was even sat out for some of the playoff games for the Marlies. When he did play wasn't he on the third line?
I think maybe we should trade him for another team first line bust type of player and maybe a change of scenery will help both players. Glennie with Dallas maybe |

Yea, as you say, it's neither here nor there. Bollands gone to the Panthers for 5.5 mill /5 years, thank god for that. |

I don't know... I'd love to have him, but that's almost 2 Kessel's worth of money.
That's a bit much. |
