Is this blog a joke? WTF

Is it too much to ask just to watch a few Whitesnake videos sprinkled in with some hockey stats. Geez man, get a clue bro.

THis is nothing new....

Regier could SELL his team very well...

but he could not BUY a team very well...

- JVince11

he had too much faith in his soft core IMO

if he had realistic expectations on hecht, kotalik, and connolly, the team would have been in a better place the last 7 years

I don't even want to dwell on that "core" any more... its gone and done...

Our new core of guys seem like not only could it include more than just 4-5 guys but guys with more talent than any of them.

Myers, Girgensons, Reinhart, Armia, Grigorenko, Risto, McCabe, Pysyk, and Zads. Possibly the addition of McEichel.

Not to mention Baptiste, Lemiux, Compher, Hurley, Fasching, Carrier, Deslauriers, Larsson, Possler, Bailey, etc.

(can we just go to the future like year or two please)

that was after he left

truth be told, there was no reason to waive tropp, plenty of kids sitting on the bench at the time that could have been sent to rochester

adam, pysyk, mcnabb

hell scott could have been put on waivers first

regier played the long game. baiting a hook and casting it in the water. then waiting for a bite. sometimes he got his price. sometimes the bait rotted on the line. i think murray is going to be much more proactive. it means he wont be fleecing anybody, but if he does a better job BUYING, we should still be much better off. murray seems just fine with making hockey trades- we have something you want, you have something we want, lets figure this out. i noticed the yotes picked up sam gagner, essentially for a sixth. it happened before darcy was announced as the vp/agm, but thats a darcy move all day long.

Let's remind ourselves during the upcoming season of just how positively we are now viewing the rebuild...it will be tougher to handle in January when we are in 25th place...do they tank for 30th, or try to continue developing a strong compete every game? That is a very tough balancing act! Of course TM can manipulate the roster by trading Stafford, Stewert, etc. and replacing with AHL call ups ...not the youngin's, but the career AHLers like Adam and so on.

it burns months later

The Predators sign defenseman Anton Volchenkov to a one-year, $1 million contract.

I didnt see this yesterday. IMO this should have been a sabres signing. Would have been another piece to move at the deadline.

Love that site, but hate how they continue to list Buffalo's GM as Regier

We could theoretically get him with the blues pick too, but I'm guessing if we do get one of those two, it won't be with the isles or blues pick.

They actually got McCabe in the Regehr trade for Butler and Byron. I had to put this in here because the blog said that we traded up seven spots in the first, and only moved back two in the second, which would require the GM from Calgary to be fired. Calgary had already traded us their second, and that's why they wanted another second and were willing to move back in the first to get it. Otherwise, good read.
