His trades were for the most solid on our end. It was his dealing with roster players and contract extensions that really sucked.

In the end he was an average GM that never won a cup. No reason for him to have stayed employed

It seemed like there wasn't many that wanted to deal with him in regards to trades. He was given too many chances. At time had the money but either made the wrong move or couldn't make one. He will prolly do ok in the desert.

There's a sign at a local business near my house that says "Welcome back Moulson & McCormick. Ott next?"

We can't be the only fanbase that would rejoice in the return of three players that played a significant role in possibly the worst season in franchise history, right?

Or the owner is just a fan of the player.

Because we want a repeat . Even Mike Schoop today said he has changed his mind about the chance of getting a player like McEichel . I hope that does not jinx it. I won't be as distasteful as some imagine .

Edit: Room in St Louis ?

Like I said before, Gionta already accomplishes what Ott would be brought in here to do, only much better. Plus, he's a guy that who's track record suggests he knows how to win, something these kids need to learn as well.

Ott is completely unnecessary.

This team will have no problem accomplishing that, even without Ott.

Thats what I was getting at. . Too many leaders and not enough students. Seems Weber has been classified as a leader but he isn't doing it on the ice. Reminds me of the Kung fu Panda.

I have a hard time seeing that though. I'm not in the group that believes this team is capable of being 5 pts out of 8th with a week left but I can't see them being the 30th place team again.

On paper right now it looks that way but the way i see it, the only way this team could finish dead last again (i mean like no contest last place) is if none of the younger players take a step forward, which would be incredibly alarming.

3-6th overall is where i see them depending on whether someone has a breakout year or the number of teams that under perform.

The point is that Ott isn't going to make them any better or worse than they are already. He's a non-factor, and unnecessary.

I agree, unless they sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal and move him at the deadline again, talk about all business.
