C'mon TM, pull the trigger already! The Buffalo fams are getting restless!!

We certainly wouldn't want this to carry on into the regular season & become a distraction in the locker room.

The only people screaming to move him are other teams that covet him and hope Buffalo does not realize what they have . And the truly uneducated fans in Buffalo that somehow resent that he makes a paycheck. They always need to rail on some player as they truly do not understand hockey and think you should make moves for the sake of making moves good or bad .
Miller is gone , who can we bag on now ?

According to the rules, Brooks Orpik and Matt Niskanen are franchise defensemen now because they make as much as Myers

No kidding . Most fans here would probably think Orpik is a good contract because he has that Western New York glue factor !

I don't understand half the people on this site, you keep saying tank, tank, rebuild, rebuild........ but we should trade Myers.

He's right, Orpik sucks as does his contract. We have "Orpik" his name is Mike Weber and one is enough.

Myers was brutal this year? Or his 2nd year?

He had a bad 1 1/2 seasons. How does that make 4 brutal seasons and compared to a guy that couldn't stay in the league?

- sbroads24

it was his second best year, but the last 4 years, he was nowhere close to his rookie season

people talk about giving him an A

why?

he got paid and admitted he showed up to camp out of shape

he should be at the point where he makes his team mates better, rather then us saying look at what he plays with

So they are comparable? One career top 4 defensemen and a guy that couldn't stay in the league? All because of height and point totals
- sbroads24

It really doesn't matter to me what Murray does with Myers. I know that if he decides to trade him, the return will be big, and we've got a bunch of good D coming up the ranks to take his minutes.

Either way, to me, it's probably a win/win

I am grown up and don't have a desire to bring in over rated players because they had ties to Western New york at one time or another . Get real will you!

Agree to disagree.

If the Bills are truly a good team, they will overcome Alonso, if not they will fold

I don't think Bobby Orr could make Weber look better.

Well, trading Myers for a good prospect that will peak at the same time as some of our young kids does help the tank and fits in with the timeline.

Pretty much how I feel. The only way you lose with Myers is if he continues to drop off and in 3 years is worth nothing.

The WNY factor gets old and the glue factor gets old ......I see you are on board with the glue comments?

People need to understand how many prospects we have (plus next years 3 selections in the 1st round). No where to but them all, we need players like Moulson/Gionta to help some of these young players learn/grow in this league.

If the 4-time Stanley Cup winning GM Ken Holland is pestering Murray about Myers, then you know you have a coveted defenseman. You do not trade him unless you get Mantha+ back.

Just saying.

Text book Stat sheet scouting . That is why real scouts and GM's watch the games. Intangibles do not show up on stat sheets.

Why do we need a slow a$$ Orpik and pay him 4 mill a year? how is that a good idea?
