Agreed, I never was a huge McNabb fan. Although even the media (Paul Hamilton) considered him our best prospect at one point
- sbroads24

The thing about McNabb though, was that he had/has all the tools (big, strong, physical, shot, decent, If not strong skater).

He "looked" like he could be a stud.

He did, but even in Rochester, he produced but his game was never complete.

When you are a below average skater, you need to be in the right position, which he struggled with, also when your slow, at the NHL level it's tougher to get the offensive opportunities

I forgot Scott or Peters. Although considering them "players" gives the term a loose definition

Didn't really hate too many players when they were here.. Not like it was with the Bills *cough *cough Losman* *cough Maybin...

But there were a few I hated based on play at times..

John Scott.. (Okay he was a cool personality and seemed like a nice guy and maybe in the 90's he'd be a more useful player) but on this team it just sort of added to the misery and I grew a bit of hate for him as a player.
Ville Leino
Roy
Tim Connolly
Kozlov (for obvious reasons)
Joe Juneau (was still bitter over the goal he scored for Washington against us)

maybe a few more cant recall right now.

Murray on Armia

"He was outstanding," Murray said. "He's everything I heard he wasn't.

"He's not a shrinking violet, he's not a lazy player. He's the opposite."

The biggest issue concerning Armia: his physical strength. "His leg strength, his core strength," Murray said.

There are some maturation and development similarities between Armia, Buffalo's first-round draft pick in 2011, and Ottawa Senators center Mika Zibanejad, Murray said. Murray knows Zibanejad well since he was Ottawa's assistant general manager when the Swedish-born forward was drafted sixth overall in 2011. Armia was chosen 10 picks later.

"His first year, he got sick, he got hurt; some nights he could hardly get up and down the ice," Murray said.

Zibanejad just completed his second full season in North America, scoring 16-17-33 in 69 NHL games for Ottawa.

"The American League is a difficult league when you've never played there," Murray said, adding that Armia's inconsistency "was nothing out of the ordinary. "I thought he showed flashes of top-end talent."

Murray on Mikhail Grigorenko

"I've got an open mind on him," Murray said. "I think next year is when he shows us what he is: a top prospect, a good prospect or a middle prospect."

Victor Kozlov who came here in the Hasek trade to Detroit didn't want to be here at all.

I imagine Tim Murray is going to make a trade before development camp starts, especially if he is trading for prospects, but thats not until 7/14. I doubt he is in an hurry until then.

Something must be up with Steve Ott. He should have signed with someone by now unless he is holding out to sign with the Sabres when they make a deal.

Myers was brutal this year? Or his 2nd year?

He had a bad 1 1/2 seasons. How does that make 4 brutal seasons and compared to a guy that couldn't stay in the league?

- sbroads24

Myers is Myers.

He make snow angels while guys blow past him far to much for my liking.

That said, you don't move him unless you're blown out of the water in a deal.

Some Red Wings' fans on Bleacher Report came up with a trade offer I think you guys should hear:

Myers for Weiss, Kindl, 2016 1st, Tatar, Ferraro

I don't like it much. First off we take a bad contract on an injury riddled player like Weiss, whom regardless of our cap situation, isn't worth it. Then we take on Kindl, a less than adequate replacement for Myers. We also get a 2016 1st instead of a more desirable 2015 first. Tatar, I don't have problems with acquiring at all. Then we finish it off with Ferraro, a guy who really hasn't raised an eyebrow with his play in the AHL yet. Overall, it's not the Nyquist++ deal we want so I'd reject it if I'm GMTM

This is a quantity over quality and those two names are useless to me.
