Toronto Kuwaiti-born Imam, Ahmed Shehab, a former President of Um-Al-Qurra Islamic School who was a candidate for Mayor of Toronto in 2003, published two full-page congratulations ads in support of Canada’s new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.

The ads, which appear on the Canadian newspaper in Arabic Al Watan (Issue 227, October 29-30, 2015) and Sakher Sabeel (Issue 38, October 28, 2015), are featuring joint pictures of Trudeau and the Imam Shehab alongside the following text:

“Congratulations

“Sheikh Ahmad Shihab, his family and friends, in both, the Islamic and Arab communities, extend their deepest felicitations and congratulations to the new Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, as well as the members and supporters of the liberal party across Canada on their landslide victory in the Federal elections. May Allah bless you with more success and glory in the years to come.”
