So perhaps we should go all out, and go the way of Sweden where they allow you to keep approximately 30% of your earned income after all taxes are accounted for.

would suck to live in a country that is widely considered to have the best standard of living in the entire world. i wish we were more like america.

My god, it'd be terrible to live in a country where post-secondary education, internet access, healthcare, etc. are all free, and where they have a prison system that actually attempts to reform prisoners, rather than just making money for private investors.

Absolutely terrible.

Complete dystopia.

Thanks to Stephen Harper we "live in a country that is widely considered to have the best standard of living in the entire world".

And now that Trudeau, who was born on third base, thinking he's hit a triple, is in power, we're on our way to being more like Obama's America.

What a nightmare it would be to live in Finland where half the families in the country have a boat and the economy is one of the most competitive in the world despite being so horribly socialist.

Not Free, The Personal Income Tax Rate in Sweden stands at 56.90 percent. Personal Income Tax Rate in Sweden averaged 56.24 percent from 1995 until 2014, reaching an all time high of 61.40 percent in 1996 and a record low of 51.50 percent in 2000

And Sweden's VAT rate (gst) is 25%.

So after all taxes are accounted for, you'll be lucky to have any money left over.

Probably a good thing Harper wasn't given another majority. I somehow think if the full-on racism he was going for near the end was left unchecked, the world's opinion might have dropped a bit.

Good thing the CBC didn't make a big deal about his pro-apartheid leanings during the elections. Would have put the xenophobic policies he's been pushing into an interesting perspective.

You think maybe that might have something to do with the lack of sunlight for half the year?

Or are you blaming that on a socialist system as well?

Race card was played by the Left wing progressive media and their two parties.

It's all too easy to accuse someone of racism............ but would like you to give one example.

Bea Toivonen has blond, long hair, ice blue eyes and is from the cold country of Finland. Family and friends are very important to her and, of course, so are her two wonderful dogs, Mila and Iivari. She loves music, traveling and new adventures. Also, she gets along well with everybody. That is why she chose the profession of cosmetology; you have to love different people. Her role models are her father and mother. Her mother was Miss Universe Finland 1985 and competed in Miami 30 years ago. That's why she loves this competition and has a lot of respect for it!

What do you call trying to create a law in direct violation of the charter of rights and freedoms that would directly affect one ethnic group, and that ethic group only?

Just curious.
