To be fair, if anyone thought the conservatives would do what they advertise, they'd probably get fewer votes.

If You Are Not a Liberal at 25, You Have No Heart. If You Are Not a Conservative at 35 You Have No Brain

Remember how people, and especially the Left Wing Progressive Media always complained that Stephen Harper was not really PM because he only got 39% (39.62% to be exact) of the vote and that most had not voted for him? Well Trudeau got 39.47%. Less than Harper in 2011.

Does that mean Trudeau is not really PM either because most voted against him??

Just wondering.

The Canadian voters are always right, which ever party wins the most seats, forms the government.

Besides the majority of voters vote FOR a party representative in their riding, not AGAINST another.

The CPC won just over 53% of the seats in the last election, so they formed a majority Government............looks like were headed for a Minority government this time around...........with the NDP finishing a distant third.

The majority of the population voted for a left wing government, not a right wing one. Just like last time around.

If the conservative vote had two legitimate parties to be split by, I doubt they'd have won an election in the last few decades.

Two parties were going to run Balanced Budget, and NOT add 60 BILLION to the National debt.

Over 60% of Voters voted in favour of Balanced Budgets, and less than 40% voted for Deficits and increasing the National Debt.

Looks like you're the one who always misses the point, and that's not surprising.

Harper promised a balanced budget and ran 8 straight years of deficit. I think that, along with his facist leanings lead to the conservatives being knocked out of leadership.

At the end of the day, the economy isn't the only thing of importance. Having a government you can be proud of, that doesn't discriminate based on people's beliefs, doesn't pass laws that can deport a large portion, and severely punish the rest of the population under a very broad definition of "terrorism", and doesn't do everything it can to destroy the environment.

The fact that the conservative government is terrible at managing the economy should have only been a secondary issue for most voters. And that is a fact: basing the bulk economy on a single industry, and getting rid of incentives for innovation is a terrible, terrible plan, which is why our dollar has dropped with oil... something that likely won't rebound any time soon, since our largest trading partner just hit a massive amount of oil.

Majority of Canadians voted for a left wing government. Only a minority of Canadians support the right wing. This isn't about parties, it's about principles. I would have been glad with either left wing party in power.

Once again you're wrong, The Conservatives ran deficits six years in row, and it was in response to the World Wide Economic recession. I guess you would have been okay with the Canadian Auto industry being destroyed??

You mean by the TPP? No, that's going to be pretty poopty.

But wait, why is it ok for the Conservatives to run a 6 year deficit to stimulate the economy, but the Liberals can't run one for 4 years for the same reason?
