My two cents on Cammalleri, who I didn't see much of at all last year, is that in the past he was a player who was much worse without the puck than he was with it.

Is it possible that both sides of the discussion are somewhat correct? That is, that in the past he was something of a selfish player but has since turned himself into more of a leader and complete player?

Lou isn't dumb. He has coveted Cammalleri for awhile. Even with some questionable decisions in the last few years, you would think if a player had a true character concern Lou would go the other way if the alternative is paying 25M. Just a thought.

My theory is that Iggys was shut down by Cammi after making an awkward sexual advance towards him at the bar, he's had a hard-on of hatred for him ever since.

He's a good player that wants to win. The "rumours" of him being a douche started in Montreal, where B.S rumours are only rivalled by the ones started in Toronto. He gave a no B.S answer to a reporter who asked why they were losing (he said something along the lines of "We suck right now" which was 100% true).

Calgary "let him go" because they went out and signed Boumeester to a big contract and didn't have the cap room to pay for them both. Never heard of any issues in the dressing room during both stints in Calgary, and by all accounts he handled him self like a true professional.

Good signing, Calgary wanted him and offered the dollars at a shorter term. It was term/winning he was after so that's why he chose New Jersey.

I have heard cammy has been known to be a me player whether or not that has changed I don't know but I do like the sogning. I really thought a team or even we would give him six mil so five is OK and he will make us faster even if he is slowing down. I also really liked the havlat signing 1 year 1.5 for a guy who could potentially give us sixty points if healthy. I also seen Lebrun say the leafs were looking for cheap help on the right wing wonder if they would have any interest in Brunner since he has the cheaper deal of him and ryder
